Hey Fellas,
Coming from a history of Porsche racecars, a track-prepared R53 Mini, S52 M Coupe, E46 M3, and a few more interesting cars here and there, I've been a long time lurker - so I figured it was time to show my newly purchased M Coupe and begin documenting it's slow transformation.. Although I'm making a journal mostly for my own documentation and viewing pleasure (or lack of?), I'll try to help the community as much as possible. So, comments and criticism are encouraged.

Awesome cars, congrats on the new addition.
Great cars! Good luck with the new coupe!
Ahh so you're the gentleman who bought Mr. Rand's car. congrats. We like your taste in vehicles and yes, that Long nose porsche should have never left your family's garage. I'd lose sleep over that one.
I'm going to be picking up another set of OEM roadstars in really rough shape, and have decided to make a weekend project out of refinishing them.
Which color do you think the roadstars should be powdercoated considering my car is titanium silver?
Mag blue, bronze, or gunmetal?
Thanks in advance all
Of course, my option was very low-cost compared to powdercoating:

Installed the Magnaflow 14815s.. Thankfully managed to get the tips sitting pretty well after heating up the metal hangers and playing with the rubber OEM ones.
... In other news, hoping to be able to drop off my extra Roadstars to get powdercoated gunmetal within the next few weeks.
Anyone interested in the full polished aluminum ones pictured above, they should be for sale soon !

Always looking for my next ///M Coupé...
So nice to see your old car go to someone who will appreciate it as much as you did!
Little teaser since they aren't mounted yet... Need to play with the front fitment and am waiting on another delivery

Thanks! I'll be running 235/40/18, 285/35/18 RS3's. As for the fitment/camber/spacers, they are 18x8.5 ET38 (F) - and I imagine I'll have to use a small spacer to clear the strut, and a decent amount of negative to clear on the outside. As for the rears, 18x10 ET25 - I'll have to measure how large of a spacer to aesthetically use once I install. I'm thinking I'll run -2.5F, -2R, we'll see.
I'll post pictures when it's all done next month.
Up front, you should be able to run 12mm without a dramatic amount of camber, particularly with 235s. For the rear, you'll want 15, maybe up to 20mm. My 18x10 w/285s are ET18, and 12mm puts them flush... HOWEVER, if you are planning to run 'flush' out back, please note that (especially with 35 series 285s) it would be wise to roll or trim your inner fender lip in order to avoid potentially cutting your sidewall...

I won't be running larger than a 15mm spacer in the rear, but a fender roll will be done prior to my new wheel setup. I'm running a 12mm up front right now with OEM Roadstars mounted on 235/45 BFGoodrich sport comp. 2's (run wide) w/ about -1.5 and it's flush on the driver side, and set inward a few mm on the passenger side.. Weird.. I'll have to dial it in when time comes.
