High Plains Raceway - Open Lapping Day (Winter Pricing)

I have been planning to hit a lapping day at HPR. Winter pricing starts in November at $100 for the day, 10am-4pm. 30 min intervals for each two groups. It would be neat to go and have a bunch of BMW guys out there so we can take photos/video, chat between sessions, and maybe even ride/drive in each others cars.

For this to happen, we need 10 participants registered the week of.
There are a few requirements, but if you have a helmet, it is drive at your own risk (ie. no tech inspection). For more detail, take a look here:
    http://www.highplainsraceway.com/pdf...ation-Page.pdf

Here are my proposed winter pricing dates which are open for cars:
    Saturday, Nov 16or
    Sunday, Nov 24

Curious to hear who is available and which days work better.

That's what I thought. Fine with me... the week before thanksgiving. I think that's when I went last year!

I could also do either day, more than likely. I know of one or two others that may be able to come in addition.

Haven't been out there in a while...can't wait to go back!

I'm planning on doing NASA the last weekend of Oct. I'll prob be hungry to go in Nov too. I'll try to bid one of those dates off.

The 10th is at the tail end of hunting season for me, so I'd likely be out (unless I bag an elk early in the season!).

Still good for either of the later proposed dates though.

16th probably works best for me as well. Seems like this is the best date for the majority...shall we plan on that (weather dependant, of course)?

Sounds good to me! That gives about 3 weeks to get your car ready!

    Tim,

If you aren't going to drive, I will likely have a passengers seat open (at least for part of the day) that you would fit into. You're welcome to ride along.

I've already put the car away for the winter, but I might come out to hang out or instruct if anyone needs some pointers.

    That was fast!

I'd actually love some instruction. I learned HPR from Porsche drivers, so it would be interesting to see how different (better) it would be with an e36 guy instructing.

Got any room in that stacker?

Damn, I need to get my car together, not sure I have enough free time to do it all.

It was a long season and I wanted to get the trailer, car and garage figured out and put away. Unless something comes up I'll plan on coming out for the day.

If you are up for it a little later in the year, I can really only do Sundays and I have a 1 day credit to use...

No way you can trade schedules Aaron?

FYI, I believe you also will get to attend the Open Lapping Customer Appreciation for free if you attend as a participant to any open lapping in 2013. This is slated for the last week of the year pending weather.

Saturdays are nearly impossible for me to get off unless its during a vacation week for me (and usually everybody is working so there isn't anyone to trade with), and I'm using the last of my vacation days at the end of the year. If anyone wants to go the 10th or 24th I would still be able to.

Ted - you could borrow my e30 if you want and I could take my Jag instead...
