    Video on how to bleed E38 brakes with DIS software

    Hey guys.
    In all the years i've been a member I don't think anyone has posted the proper method to bleed E38 brakes.
    So see below.

    Wow that's a fantastic video, specially as I have the same 4 pot brembo's on my 730. Just need to get DIS working on my laptop and I'll be golden haha.

    ^^ That's because it was lol. I "bled" them incorrectly about 4-5 months ago, had been spongey since. So I bought a new bottle and did it again properly.

    I never bled mine like that having to use software and everythings fine.

    Very true, you can be sure 95% of BMWs being bled on a daily basis aren't done this way.

    Having said that, do you really know the absolute maximum potential of your brakes if not done this way.

    I've done my brakes several times over the years with just a normal pressure based system and the odd time it had to be done twice to get rid of any sponginess.

    well, any braking system should be able to eventually push out residual air. Bleeding just speeds up the process.

    Voodoomelon, when you have a chance do you think you can post the steps to get to the page with the bleed/activate pre-supply pump options. I can't seem to find the same page in my DIS

    Select DCS Module => , Service Functions => , ( It Will Read Your Module Data )





    Peneding on WHAT Module Software You Have, You will then be Prompted with The Options To bleed....Done!

    Thanks I found it. I'm running the EasyDISv44 base with v44 of DIS so mines is a bit different but the pics helped.
