Overall the kit was awesome, I kept saying throughout the day that it felt like cheating. I only spun once and it was just a stupid error on my part. The only issues I had was the front end didn't like to self-steer at low steering angles, making for a nervous feel unless I was at big steering angles. This made the car slow-mid corner, albeit having lots of big-angle smoke shows, nasty entries, and with some practice I think I could nail reverse entries consistently if I wanted to. The front end would reach a point in a corner where the whole car seemed to shift and crab-walk as a result of the big angle if I pushed it too far. This really only hurt me on transitions when steering crossed the center-point (straight), as I'd have to help it go beyond center to the opposite direction before it would self steer it's way over to other way, but at big angles the kit was confidence inspiring and felt great. This can all be corrected with a proper alignment.
The other cool part of the kit, for my setup anyways, is that I have hardly any rubbing even at full lock, which is absurd, and I'm on stock rolled fenders.
So here's some vids.
Had a backwards entry accidentally lol, this was like my second run of the day, the arm out the window wasn't show-boating...I was just really shocked at what had just happened. I can usually only pull this sh*t off in Forza lol.
Another run on the same course, just a good clean run, but you can see me fight the wheel a bit on the transitions.
Full course, being chased by a buddy's S13 vert before popping a tire and pulling off the track so as to avoid a collision.
My buddy adam (Rustyfriend on bf.c) went for a ride and I wanted to show him a reverse entry. Would have been real pretty if I was going a bit faster, or flicked it a bit later.
And a decent chase.

You can spin still lol I've done it once since kit. But Benny those are some sweet entries man!!! Not a fan of that track but great driving.
track is so dope though, and thanks dudes
yep, good shit Ben! You're driving it with a lot of angle, love it!

Thanks duude
Here's a vid from the S13 vert's perspective, super crappy quality but so good otherwise.
what diff do you run?
3.15 welded...poorly
Benny lets his car sit for a year... comes back like he has been driving every weekend.
It's so easy with the kit man. lol.
It's like a cheat code in a video game.

yeah buddy! Sucks to hear about the deadness in self centering, I don't think I'd enjoy getting used to that.
The self-steer can be fixed easily and is specific to E46 arms on E36, not the SLR parts. E46 arms have less caster built in (meaning the wheel sits about 15mm further rearward than it should) E46 arms ideally need an offset bushing on E36. (Releasing a hex insert for our adjustable lollipops very soon). Also the wheel sitting further back will reduce ackerman-effect which will further reduce the self-steer.
Yeah I've noticed the wheel is pretty far back in the well.
Lemme know when those lollipops are available!
I really should have just got a full kit.
After riding in the car with this kit...I NEED IT. Many runs this weekend I was sitting at lock and barely in the gas. NEED ANGLE FOR MORE WOT
That track looks pretty advanced and you were killing it!! must feel f'ing awesome to be able to drive it like that with your custom setup.. and still look "normal" otherwise (no flares)

I would absolutely suggest the full kit at this point, I have about the same cost as a full kit in. The only benefit to the half kit is less track width, which I'm kind of happy I don't have being as I clear the stock fenders pretty well.
Also I'm pretty sure Sean has arms he could include in a full kit with less track width, like e46 arms.
Whatever, I'm happy with it.
You do seem pretty happy lately..
Yea he does. Niggas all over Facebook lol
