    318i towing a trailer?

I have a 1994 318i four cylinder. It's in very good condition. I'm wondering if it would have any trouble towing a small lightweight camping trailer like a 'Trillium' or a 'Bigfoot'. I don't want to kill the motor/transmission. Transmission was replaced a couple of years ago. The car has about 160.000 miles but seems to be fine. Anyone have any thoughts/warnings etc?
    Thanks in advance.

Forget it. I should have done more research before bothering anyone here. Sorry.

It will be fine as long as it's a 1000 lbs or less ... people tow small trailers in europe all the time, with cars that have a lot less power than a 140hp 318.

My 318i is a four cylinder. What would the horsepower be? Sorry for asking such simple questions but the local dealer won't tell me anything unless "I bring the car in". That sounds like 'code' for it's going to cost me $ somehow.
Would I need to get a welding shop to fabricate a tow bar or can I buy one that bolts on?
    Thanks

I have carburetors, and I'm not afraid to use them!

Life is about enjoying the engine you are sitting behind.

Was the M42 standard in Canadia as well as in the US..?
Mine has the sohc M43B18, which puts out a whopping 115hp...
    Note that I'm Euro though.
