I recently locked my keys in the trunk of my 2003 M3 convertible. After putting the top partially down, I removed the 16 or so bolts in the floor of the top storage compartment to access the trunk and my keys. After reinstalling the bolts the top worked normally to close fully. Now the tops will not go down when the button is pressed. I just get a solid yellow light. I lowered the top several times manually then used the button to close it automatically. Now I cannot even lower it manually as the top storage compartment will not unlock and open. Any ideas as to the problem?
Any luck? Wish I could help, but my top is rigid.

In the top part of the trunk, there should be a cable with a red handle, if that was pulled then the roof won't work because the hydrolic pump is disengaged and will not allow the roof to open or close. I doubt this is helpful, if not, well sorry.
