Da mein Enlisch sehr schlecht ist sah ich das sie aus der Schweiz sind .
Ich habe mir diese Datei geladenBMW ISID 3.1 + ISSS 3.1 avec ISTA-D 2.35 (English / German) et ISTA-P 2.48.3 und hab volgendes problem in der konfiguration wird nach einem Adminpasswort gefragt können sie mir helfen
sah an ihrem poast das sie die selbe frage hatten

Hello, excactly what network did you disconnect? I have tried all, main wirless switch, all WMnet(1) and WMnet(0).
I started the WSM with all networks disconected , but no success.. I keep getting the same error as you did.,

I am off line, with direct connection to my cable.

Can you pls share a scree shot of the network you are refering to?

I tried all Wmnet and also the main wireless and nothing...still getting the same error message every time i try to run Ista/D.
I even restarted the WM with all networks disconeted...no dise

I have massage " ISTA start failed, reboot ISID" .What reason can be and how to fix it?

As a couple of users above have written, can anyone confirm what lead(s) you can use with this?

Can you use the K+DCAN USB type cable with an emulator like was possible for DIS?

It is working with the D-KAN Interface (checked with the D-KAN from autodoit) , but you will need an Emulator (not the same like for DIS) There are different methods to use the Emulator, one with Dongle, one undongled and the snapshot method. When I checked the version I found out that the EDC module was not found (only with the D-KAN Interface, with ICOM everything is working!) on older cars. It is working with Service plans and the Expert modes so it is good. Depending on the car (older tpye) you will need the K_Line adapter. With a SSD (Notebook i7 16GB RAM) you can work so fast like the old DIS, only the bootup time is near 5 minutes.

I can't get a connection, its like it dosen't have connection to the D-can. Have no faults.

Had a lot of trouble getting the snapshot to work. But found out that the snapshot used vmnet1 and I use vmnet2 and then it worked.

If you use a ICOM you dont need the EMU, I had problems with the EMU and DCAN Interface to recognize the EDC on a 98 E38. We discussed it here somehwere, it is ok with the EMU, but if you use the higher service routines it is sometimes not working. The same for me with an old DIS VMWare and DME systemcheck when the software tried to sync the second DME for learning the new adaption, it suddenly stopped working. I made some checks the last days with native Rheingold and ICOM together on a 95 E36. It was the same, could not find the DME, could not connect to the car. I think it is a problem of the INPA 7.30 Installation (I will check Content inside the VMWAre) , when I try to connect with the VMWare 2.36 and ISTA/P 2.5X it worked perfect. I didnt have the time to figure it out, may be later.

If I have time I will try to update this version from here with ISIS and take a look again.

I use D-can. It made a fault when i wanted to start a new session in ISSS. But ISID worked fine.

Yes it worked, but only with a version from E90post forum, but I think it is working with the version from this post too. Rheingold got problems, but if I used INPA with Itool it was not working too., DME is 3.31, there is a problem with the data files. I changed the files to the FAL version and after a language error I could read the live data. But Rheingold wont work, didnt find the car. I think the goal is the INPA/Ediabas installation in the VMWare image, but I dont have time to figure it out at the moment. On older cars I use a GT1 with the original BMW head this is my goal at the moment.

I have dis but it is slow, I want this version from this post to be connected to e36 with icom c, can you help?

If you connect ICOM to this version everything is easy working. My E36 B3 is 95, after the connection was established the car was found automaticaly. Just configure the notebooks network adapter to automatically, start the VMware, take a look the VMWare network adapter is set to bridged to the physical network adapter. (no WIFI) Start the VMware ISID without the ICOM connected, wait after the bootup is complete connect the ICOM, wait again take a look at the Connection Manager. Here you should find your ICOM. You can check the right IPS in the cmd console, ipconfig and ping the ICOM head with ping and IP address. For this you have to find a version where a task bar is running.

May be you have a very old Firmware, did you check this?
What is your problem, is it not working?

About DIS, I use this on a T30 too, not only on a GT1, it is very fast. Let me say if you wait for the ISID bootup I would say that I am finished with my short test on a e39 with normal equipment, no test plans of course.
Some of the BMW Service Station here have still an old DIS Plus running.

I tested with OBD2 and it works.
But with OBD1 icom c does not read out the car ecu.

Icom A2 firmware version is 03.10.04

I prefer isid over dis because I have Ibm tablet which makes diagnosing easier.

What firmware u r running?
