Upgraded 2nd gear
Hardened bronze bushing and fork pads
New 5/6th gear assembly
Carbon Kevlar shift rings
Spec stage 3 clutch, Spec lightweight flywheel, arp flywheel bolts
This transmission is bullet proof and built for abuse and cost me $2,000 just for the rebuild. I know this is corny but it truly feels like a rifle bolt when you move it between gears. It is very precise.

New HD Meyle front control arms
New 95 offset M3 FCAB’s
New tie rods and rebuilt steering rack
Rear subframe reinforcement plates have been welded in to body

Vadar M3 seats
M3 leather sport door panels and rear cards
Body:
M3 mirrors
M3 rep side skirts not installed
Half clear taillights
Glass depot headlights
Good:
107,000 miles on engine,
7,000 miles on built transmission with warranty,
Low miles suspension and steering
15,000 miles on differential
New windshield
Cruise control works
Clean and clear title
Binder full of receipts
Autocheck car report with nothing reported
Turns between 16 and 18 MPG’s in town and 25-28 MPG’s on the highway
One of the best chassis in the world with one of the best engines in the world
Bad:
Fenders were rolled by po and have a little cracking going on (mostly on the front, the back are decent).
The front and rear bumpers show some wear
Air bag doesn't work(I had the steering wheel off and turned the car on without thinking)
The AC doesn't work and would need lines/compressor from a 318is and a $300 bracket from NAHR
Drivers door lock doesn’t work so you have to do it from the passenger door
Sunroof doesn’t like to work and needs a new motor
Body and interior are overall pretty nice but not show car worthy
Overall this car is really ready to go. The car drives great and has plenty of power as well as all the potential for power you could ever want. The car is also built to handle the power that it can make. It is a very focused car and with the solid mounts for the engine, trans, and diff the car isn't buttery smooth but if you want to smooth it out a stock rubber transmission mount will take care of most of the vibrations. I love driving this car and every time I downshift for a line of cars it puts a huge smile on my face. I haven't dynod the car but would expect 300-330whp and similar torque.
Thanks for looking. Absolutely no joy rides or driving the car without cash in hand. I am more than happy to take people for a spin though.
Asking $9,900OBO and while I probably am not interested I will entertain trades.
Thanks, Phil

Neat looking car!
Chris
Huge price drop. $10,000
2001 330i.
What mounts and headers did you use, custom DIY or one of the available kits?
Did you finish the project yourself or have it done? Pics of the work done?
Any detailed pics of the conversion, wiring, etc?
Is the ECU locked?
I bought the car as a started project. The headers are off the shelve Hooker ceramic block huggers with the Flaming River steering shaft snaked around them. Not my favorite but it works well and does the job.
The wiring is all soldered together with heat shrink. The harness is a kit harness from Techrods and the ECU is unlocked with HP Tuners. The only gauge that doesn't work is the temp gauge because the po decided to run a VDO gauge for more precision.
I don't have too many pictures of the swap and the PO did the wiring and the mounts.
I finished the swap myself but it was mostly ironing out the details. I have built multiple wheeling vehicles and built several long arms and the mounts were done well. I'm not a huge fan of the steering but to be honest it works fine and the only reason to redo it would be aesthetics.
These are the best I have of the swap. The yellow oil pan is gone.

So tempting.... if it were a 4 door and lighter ext color I'd be all over it... (REALLY miss my LSx M3.... )
Braap, you should buy it, you KNOW you want to.
Don't tell me how much you miss yours. That makes me think I shouldn't sell it because we both know how much this swap costs.
You could always buy this and wait for a light colored high mileage shell to come along. An auto M3 would run you about $5,000 and you could sell the M engine for $2,000 and part the rest of my car out for at least $2,000. Vaders + $500, two sets of wheels = $700, Brakes are all new and a popular swap = $500, brand new suspension/arms/steering rack = at least $250, lsd out of M3 donor since my car has the 3.91 = $250, door panels = $250 and the list goes on. That is why I am also considering parting the car because the parts add up so quick. The only problem is I am moving in a month. But right there is $2,450 and we haven't gotten to the actual car.
Plus I will give you my flat out bottom price because I would love to sell the car to someone that knows what they are doing and knows how to fix anything.

Not sure why these videos came out so bad but here they are. Maybe I'll try and remake them with my freaking phone.
Startup
Engine
Driving (I say lean but meant rich. 12.8-12.1 at full throttle).
Outside. The sound is a little off and that is dust from construction not smoke. The car has a really good sound to it. Almost sounds like a mix between a 6cyl and V8.

Here are some more interior pics as well. Not sure why but my camera hates the sun.
And the receipts for the car. All those pages are front and back as well.

Is this car able to go through and pass emissions without problems?
How easy is it to perform all the regular maintenance items on the engine? Or are there some things I am going to have to drop the whole motor out for??
The car has a catalytic converter and other than that I have no clue. I spoke with a professional tuner and he said he has gotten LS cars to pass Spokane emissions before without a cat and he felt it wouldn't be an issue. Other than that I have no idea. I have never lived somewhere with emissions so I know nothing about the process. The guy that started the swap was planning to move to Seattle and he said that it will be able to pass but that is the most I know about the situation.
The motor is cake maintenance wise. Everything is easily accessible and in general there is more clearance in the BMW than there is in the Camaro's or the Corvette's. The only thing I would pull the motor for is to pull the transmission. You can pull it with the engine in the car but I can get the car from backing into my garage to having the motor and trans sitting next to the car in less than three hours by myself. It is really easy to work on.

I did a little looking into it. This article talks about LS swaps in general and mentions that the engine needs to be out of a newer vehicle, and the newer engine needs to be cleaner than the old engine.

Here is a page that lists the requirements for the 325i/is and the LS1 is a cleaner engine.

ahhh this is exactly what i want! any interested in a 95 m3? lol
No need for a 95 M3. Looking to get into either an E46 ZHP sedan or some kind of Audi/BMW wagon next. I need something that hauls the dog around better. Thanks for the offer though.
