    STOCK S50 Cams Versus ICS Stage 1 Turbo Cams.

    This coming week, I have a customer with a boosted E36 M3 that we will be installing the ICS Stage 1 camshafts.

    Dyno when the vehicle arrives, cam swap, dyno without touching the the, then a re-tune with the ICS cams installed.

    I will post up, pictures, videos, dyno sheets or the comparisons. BTW I stand corrected the camshafts are S52's non S50's.

    Normally when static cams (non vanos) are modified it is a trade off, of a loss down low for a gain up top and visa versa. So you are saying you will pick up torque down low and possible make more up top?
    Euro Spec E36 M3. Built engine, Carrillo Rods, JE Pistons, SuperTech Stainless Int/Inconel Exh Valves, SuperTech Double Valve Springs, APR Head and Mains Studs, GT35R Turbo, Tial 44mm External gate, Custom Intake manifold, Autronic SM4 with Vanos control, Twin intank Walbros, Injector Dynamics Injectors, 566rwhp (Mainline Dyno) at 20psi. More boost to come once stronger spring fitted to W/Gate. Engine built and tuned by me......

    That is the plan.

    I am off and will be filming the Dyno video, I should have done a before and after on my car as well, but this will give me an idea of how much power the ICS cams produced on my set-up.

    Hahaha your a day late and a dollar short.....

    Testing was completed today car rolled in making 608 rwhp and 529 rwt

    Cams installed and tuned 1 psi less 636 rwhp and 581 rwt

    Dyno"s sheet will be posted tomorrow

    And people were saying forever that stock cams, and even smaller non-M cams were better....

    Thanks George, excellent test debunking a popular myth. The one you provided moons ago with stock compared to Schrick was great too.
