How do I turn off the security system?

Can anyone tell me how to turn off the security system on my 2000 BMW 750iL? I assume there is some way to do it with codes and such.

I have some kind of fault where it goes off intermittently and I don't really need a car alarm where I live, and on an 11-year old car to boot. I'd just as soon turn it off and not worry about it anymore.

You may have a faulty hood switch that was in my car or you can just try to remove fuse for alarm system.

You can have someone disable it with coding.

Disconect the hood switch. Removing the fuse most likely prevent your car from starting.

Lock the car and a sec later hit the lock button on the remote again for 2 sec.
