You are misinformed. Tannin Red doesn't exist for Z3s, it's Traum Rot, which is Dream Red in German.

Tanin rot was not an option on Ms, but as far as I can tell, it was definitely an option on extended leather Z3s.

Huh. Interesting. What does Tanin translate to? Other than Imola for Ms and Dream Red for Z3s, I haven't seen another Red interior, I don't think.

Im not sure tanin has any direct translation. Tanin Red

Dream red with the rare "chameleon" leather


Imola is a medium shade and carries more orange than tanin


Tanin red or tanin rot is just a few shades different than imola, a bit more subtle hue

Correct, its not an M interior. I will be buying a brand new M center console piece and was probably going to give the brand new one to someone for no cost in exchange for their used one, because I will be fabric wrapping the center piece. How does one spell Alcantara again

For estoril you need to find an orange or warm yellow if you want contrast. So many of these cars have horrid color combinations already, let's not further the issue.

i talked to the owner of this interior for weeks. there's way too much work required to salvage it.

or at least recovering the dash- i wasnt gonna risk hundreds of dollars in *hoping* to get it rewrapped in a matching leather.

I really want to buy the extended leather dash pods, but I have yet to see some that didn't suffer from significant sun damage. Either on a car or not.

The only extended leather dash I know of in pristine condition is the one belonging to Maddux.

What classifies chameleon leather? Is it the textured leather on the door cards? If so I just got even more rare of an interior lol

I dont really care about the work, just would like to clean up my roady. My dash has some white spots (I dont know what it is) from the previous owner.

In that case, you could always pull out your dash, then wrap it in alcantara and then re install the black vinyl pods and it would look much better for dramatically less money. Or you could even cover the dash in 3M DINOC for a nice touch.

Its all going to be the same work, but much cheaper than buying another dash.

The dash is the piece in the middle, everything screws to it. The two vinyl side pieces just sit on top of the dash.

You could easily cover it and then the pods would cover the seams.
