    My 74 project!

well to start things out, i got the car a few years ago for 700$ which is a great deal for the condition that the car was in. outside needed some TLC, had a little accident in the passenger side door and fender than i managed to fix with my uncle. the interior is in perfect condition! not one scratch on the inside, no cracks in the dash but had one tiny tear in the driver seat. The only thing that i do NOT like about this car is that its an Auto.. but that will change since i am planning to do an engine swap later during the build. so far i have bought some goodies for the car: turbo flares, basket weaves that were refinished, recaro front bucket seats from a chevy cobalt SS and i got the rear bench reupholstered to match the fronts. removed trim/moulding lines all around, had to make custom seat brackets and frame, rebuilt head, new window seals all around. i will be doing the turbo body on this car with a e36 turbo swap. here are some pictures of the build.

tear down of the car was pretty easy, no problems.

Paint prep was a big pain...

a few days later after the car was finish in the booth

no trim and test fitting the flares with the basket weaves.

I've always liked Golf - a great color.

I love those seats! How hard was it to mount them? I have a golf car as well. It will turn some heads for sure!

We had to make the tunnel smaller by hammering the sides an then welded a frame for the brackets for a perfect fit.
