    Spare tire question

I just purchased a 2002 540i with the M sport package on it. After I got home, I discovered that my new ride is missing the spare tire. I am going to purchase a spare tire. I noticed that the car has staggered tire sizes from the front to back. Does anyone know what size of spare tire that I need to purchase. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

Also for anyone out there, the previous owner had removed the factory airbox and air filter and replaced it with a cold air intake. Due to the very dusty desert that I live in, I would prefer the factory airbox and air filter. Anyone out there have one that would be willing to part with??

    Z3's...
Have you tried the e-39/M5 board? I know that with some of the M-versions you get a little air pump and a can of fix-a-flat, if it's worse than that you get a trip on a flat-bed. During a Z-club drive we had a Z4 chew through his tire. Tried to put a Z3 mini-spare on it, only to find it wouldn't go over the brakes. He wound up missing the reminder of the drive, to get a flat-bed lift back to the dealer.

Do those cars normally come with a full size tire or a little donut type? If it's a full size spare, just get one as big as the front wheels. If it's a little donut, check realoem and just get the spare tire/wheel that's supposed to come with the car.

    If it's a non-M car, just get any et20 17in wheel with a 235/45/17. Done.
