Wiring O.E. Power Antenna to Work with Single-Wire Radio

I have acquired an O.E. two-wire BMW power antenna for my '84 320i. As some P.O. "thoguhtfully" hacked my radio harness, it is easier for the moment to retain the aftermarket Kenwood head unit which is currently in the car than to install an O.E radio.

Problem: the Kenwood has only one power antenna wire. How do I reconcile this with the dual wires used by the antenna? The white lead is for "up" and the red lead is for "down".

I know that I can't be the first one to ask this question, but I can find no definitive answer by searching this forum.

Since I realize that some will wonder why I caused this problem for myself by acquiring and installing the the power antenna, it was to keep the trunk dry (aftermarket antenna was leaking) and so that I can put a custom-fit cover over the car without having to make a hole in it.

No - red is power from the fusebox and white is the command wire from the radio.

this seems more correct. The antenna is grounded from the body. So 12 volts on the command wire is up, 0 volts is down.

Thanks, guys. I shall hook it up as suggested and see what happens.

Now I'm just being lazy, but in which position in the fuse panel do I find the fuse for the power antenna?
