I dunno... A long time ago my sister was pulled over for 90mph and received a "Wasting Energy" ticket, was like $20 bucks.

In this day and age of revenue generation, probably a lot higher.

Were you coming or going into Nevada. If I were to guess, leaving...

Not sure... in CA that would be a $400-500 ticket depending on the posted limit.

Depends if she stays in Nevada, gets a players card, and stays there long enough. She might get it erased and a comped room for her if she comes back.

Were you given a ticket on the 15 South by the Nevada Highway Patrol?

It is difficult to say what the cost would be.
It would really depend if you got caught in a "construction zone" where the posted limit is 55mph.
And it depends upon the conditions at the time of ticket (ie time, traffic, weather, etc)

About 10 miles South of the strip is around St. Rose Parkway.
The construction zone begins (ends) right around there.

If you were in a standard 65mph zone, the ticket should be a little shy of $200.
Though you might have a mandatory court appearance if it is in a construction zone, then the fine would be doubled.

I got written up for 102 a while back. The fee was like $400. Took it to Craig Kenny http://www.cpklaw.com/traffic-tickets, to plea it down to a Parking Violation (no insurance issue), and knocked the price down to $150. He used to be free to get DUI referrals, but now he chages $50 for the atty session.

I am not so sure how much but I recommend that you try to get the information on-line. Also, I think you should show up at court if you're unable to pay the fine. Failure to appear can be a fairly serious pain in the neck.
