    2012 Dicktone Limo Updates.

    Instagram pics ahead. Brace yourselves.

Since we didn't get any snow, I didn't bother ever putting the car away. This was about the worst it saw.

    More like this all winter

AAAAAAAAAAnyways. Got a new helmet. Zamp FSA-2 or something. Cheapest brain bucket I could get that's SA2010 rated. Or even SA2005 rated for that matter. It fits ok.

    Took some more junk out

Put some new junk in. Went to 12k springs out back, same length, upgraded my 5 year old Vorshlag studs to bimmerworld studs. I didn't have luck using bimmerworld's install instructions, I started mushrooming one of the nuts trying to get the double-nut tight enough to torque the stud to 80ft/lb. Which I think is dumb anyways. Ended up hand-torquing them into the hub with the allen key, only hand-tight. No loctite. I ain't scared.

Got a fat man seat in there, total downgrade from the Sparco that was in it but the Sparco would make my legs go numb below my hips after being in the car for a couple hours. Fat people problems.

Test fit the new bumper. Got new skirts too, gonna paint them with a rattle can. Why did no one tell me you can get a bumper and skirts shipped to your door from ebay for under $300???

Also I got a tow hook.

    Took a picture

Then I took it for a romp.

    Next I went muddin'.

This awesome dude made me a cool thing

So I could put this thing in

    Then we cheeched

Next up, gonna fix my driver's side window, plumb in the handbrake, paint the bumpers and skirts, and then cut my knuckles and see how much angle I can get out of the stock knuckles/control arms. I have so much god damn room with my wheels up front I can't help but think I can get a solid 10-15 degrees extra lock before rubbing. So what I'm going to do is disconnect the tie rod, turn the wheel to just before it rubs to get the most lock I can, mark where the tie-rod falls on the knuckle at that point, and cut and weld the pickup at that point. Then get the stupid thing aligned and smash some doors.

    We'll see how it goes.

Yeah for now. When the time comes for a cage (next season maybe), I'll get a real seat, on good mounts (Corbeau sliders suck, sliders in general suck), with good 6 point harnesses, and do it all at once. Having a fixed back seat is a big enough risk in my mind, but at least the stock 3 points will allow my body to roll out of the way of the roof if it ever comes to that. You still want my old happy handle?

Awesome. What are you running for rear pads? I switched to Ebc reds for this year vs. last year I ran napa product and I noticed the hugest difference with my hydro using a good pad.

Are you running rack spacers now?

Yeah I have about 5.5mm of spacer in IIRC. Not enough still, tire has a solid 3" to go before it hits the frame in either direction with 235/40s on a 17x8 et0.

I'm probably going to remove the spacers though and just go back to a lock washer for safety's sake. We'll see.

I'm running Hawk Performance Ceramic which should be great, they bite really well cold.

Unfortunately I have a Chem exam that day, and going to see Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood that night. No-go for me :/

Plus, I'd rather the first event of the season didn't cost $200 and be 3 hours away in case something decides to fall off or destroy itself

Not sure what my first event of the season will be, which sucks, I wish my home track opened before god damn May!

More treats! Love getting these pics sent to me by the roommates while I'm at work. Chomping at the bit to get home now.

Best part is: I don't even know what's in those boxes I have a problem with ordering things late at night.

I thought about the whole vanity plate thing, but I don't need another notable thing on my car in case I get into trouble

Theres a "chrome bumpers only" car show down the street from me in May. I'm thinking about wrapping my non-m bumper in aluminum tape and showing 'em what time it is.

    Got some more stuff done.

    Mounted catch can.

Took a couple of years off my life cutting this thing up. Nasty stuff, but it cut like butter using an angle grinder and a regular old metal cutting disc.

Now I have to make one for the switches under the HVAC controls.

What length are the rear springs, and do you have height adjusters?

140mm IIRC. No adjustment collars but the threaded perch is in to keep the spring centered.

You're not cool until you bottom out 127mm swifts with no adjusters. You didn't get that stance memo? Needs moar low, moar camber, moar JDM, etc. etc.

Benny you gonna make your way down to E-town at all this year? If so, let me know.
