A good friend is in the process of buying an M3. The seller informed him it has a lightened flywheel and due to that, should not be driven on long trips.
I say BS, I have a lightened flywheel in my RX7 and had one in my Porsche 911 and I have NEVER heard this one before.
Is there some magic about the S14 that it does not respond well the long term driving on a lightened flywheel?

That is exactly what he did. We picked it up this past weekend, and 4 hours after purchasing it, he was driving it over the Tail of the Dragon then on to Tennessee to meet some friends and play car all weekend.
Then we both drove 12 hours home back to Florida, car never missed a beat and got over 30MPG's all the way home.
I am so jealous of him, I want that car!!
