670/890 to 450/560
Car rolls noticeably more in turns, but not terrible. It still handles well.
On throttle, I feel more squat, or front lift and it definitely has more straight line grip. I think on street tires, the handling change is negligible, but when using R-comps or something sticky on a road course, definitely the higher spring rates are going to work better.
Overall, pleased with the change for my uses. Quite a bit more forward bite/grip in drift.

was she wearing a skirt? I see yellow around 29-30 seconds and another time after that
Alright, so after talking with my engine builder quite a bit, several forum members, and others, I've decided for sure to go E85. I'll be running both my SR20 and my girlfriend's SR20 on E85 in our S13s, so I'm on an E85 binge here. The benefits are incredible, just make sure to change your oil VERY often. I'll be getting some 1200cc injectors, a fuel rail, FPR, lines, etc. The only thing I'm undecided on is tank.
1) stock tank, dual in tank pumps to a Y, to single -8 or -10 AN feed line. -6 AN return. Aftermarket FPR
2) stock tank, single lift pump (likely walbro 485 e85 version) to surge tank, outlet dual walbro 485 or bosch 044 (or something else E85 safe and big), to Y to single -10 AN feed, -6 return
3) fuel cell, dual pumps, etc. same as above.
I'm thinking if I retain the stock tank in options 1 or 2, I should split the return line and return to both saddles of the tank, to prevent big starvation issues as the pumps will be flowing and returning a LOT of fuel to one side, potentially starving the other side in short order. Currently with the stock '95 M3 feed/return setup, my car will starve pretty badly at 1/2 tank drifting, and higher than that on the road course, maybe 5/8ths or something. I'm sure it would be even worse than last time with the added aero grip and semi-slicks I'll be putting on for road course duty.
Then I want to crank the boost and max out the turbo. 30-32 psi or whatever it takes. I'll try to fly out Jordan for that one. Also talking to Brooks Motorsport about getting set up with a high downforce from splitter so I can get back into some road course stuff with it too. I really want to set some screaming lap times on Texas tracks to prove the track section naysayers wrong, and because it would be really FUN.
Pro for #3:
-stock tanks/fuel systems are often gunky and E85 cleans all that out really well, which can clog fuel filters, injectors, etc. and cause major lean conditions / problems.
Con for #3:
-no good place weight distribution wise to mount a fuel cell. On top of rear seat shelf puts it in the passenger compartment, so I would need a fire enclosure, and it would raise the CG of the vehicle somewhat substantially. Rear tire well I have my water sprayer tank, which I could move, but then I have a lot of weight behind the rear axle (bad). Overall more fabrication.
Right now I'm leaning heavily to #2... but opinions always welcome. There is still no in-tank dual fuel pump hanger available on a shelf for these cars, (Rallyroad.net and TRM are both working on them - I think Rallyroad is a lot closer but still not available), making #1 a custom job.
Decisions, decisions..

Interested in what choice you make since I've been contemplating exactly what your considering.
I've been leaving towards #1. To avoid having to do a few bulk head fittings to route hoses to a surge tank. I also planned to drop my fuel tank to weld in reinforcments so I was going to completely clean out the fuel tank at that time.

1 or 2. The (easiest) fuel cell mounting locations suck in BMWs
Here is what I was considering if I went with a surge tank setup

Awesome find! I emailed them to ensure everything is E85 compatible, but i'll likely order the 3L setup with dual 044s very soon. Just need a rail and some hard lines under the car and I'll be set for 30 psi on race fuel. Might pick up some of those Bosch motorsport 115 lb injectors that Jonathan (McoupeMindy) is using on his E85 setup. It would be really nice to see 700 on the 3582HTA.

duuuude no I love the white and black don't do it
Paint!?
Make it a light color so you can still cover it in cord slap marks
awesome! can't wait to see it in a few weeks!
Mike you should totally leave the front bumper a different color than the rest of the car just for Benny
Another requestion....June 29th and 30th: East Coast Bash...be there
lol at benny, the ongoing paint advocate. Can't wait to see this car in person, looks like it will be painted in time for Houston..?

i want your wing!
Haha, Benny is a trip. And yep, it's painted! Cya in houston! Make sure to come say hi early before I get too busy getting ready for comp!
Mine! Brooks would be happy to make you one, for a price Haha! Once you have enough power to do any track in your state, in most any gear, then it's time for a wing. It really changed the car.
And I know I'm going to get shit for posting this "unfinished" but whatever, here it is. White again to stay clean looking, and it's Plastidip since it will very likely get dinged up/scratched/etc., (and I got sponsored on it, $$ talks!) I was afraid of it looking cheesy Black, and I can do a better disappearing act on my opponents with a white car Strategery!
Going to get new mouldings, new kidneys, new lip, new rear flares, and it should be finished-ish exterior for the moment. (Until the Brooks carbon splitter for track stuff)
