Anybody install these yet? I'm wondering what they look like on the car ... thanks!
The original hardware isn't the greatest. They have you mock up the fins then drill pilot holes followed by the actual size (forget what size it is).
Remove the fins, after you have the correct hole size drilled, you install these expanding inserts (think of installing something into a drywall with no studs).
Re-attach fins and put on the final bolts. The inserts will expand and hold it in place.
I didn't get in on this buy but here are mine:

Lol that sounds confusing.Originally Posted by jajou318
Sooooo basically the splitters are bolted in in one sense or another.
I am going to try to find some black bolts, I'll gather we want some washers / bushings in there too somewhere so they don't retreat into the bumper or splitter sometime if something were to "mistakenly" be hit or knocked into.

Yeah I don't think it needs to be too complicated. My thoughts were to just run countersunk bolts from underneath , then use a fairly large diameter washer to spread out the load on the other sideOriginally Posted by Z3speed4me
Ha, sorry I didn't mean to make it sound confusing but that's all it is an expanding insert that will expand on the backside once the screw goes in (think rivet).
But yes, bolts and washers are a lot easier than the ACS hardware.
The hardware is more of an expanding anchor than a nut and bolt set up...kind of like what you put in drywall. As you tighten the screw, it flattens out the anchor against the back of the bumper so it can't slide out.
I'm sure you can still order them from CES
Hello,
It'll more than 10 pieces in order to manufacture, where are you Eric?
Although I have warned you, it's getting long in the light of the small amount remaining to be delivered.
Sincerely.
Stéphane
I responded to your email; having a little difficulty understanding your translation to English though.Originally Posted by anhacking
Should be getting a pretty big batch of parts in less than a week, and I'll do my best to get them shipped out fairly quickly
Hello Éric,
Thank you for your answer.
The textbook (manual worker) of assembly (editing), saw them or still stickers they are supplied?
Will my rooms (parts, plays) be sent this week ?
Excuse my bad English.
Cordially.
Stéphane

As much as I want to put the decal on mine because it fills the gap, I feel wrong doing it because it's not an authentic part.
I'd feel like such a poser, but in reality if someone asked I would tell them straight up they are rep parts.
On that note, I have to get these things painted sometime...

Eh, who cares...I don't really view ACS as any kind of status...everyone has so many rep pieces at this point, you might as well slap the sticker on there to fill it out. And that comes from an authentic ACS Splitter owner.
I don't put it in the same boat as an M badge on the back of a non M if you know what I mean.
500+ replies and 27,000+ hits, what a thread. lol

I see what you mean, but I bought the stickers actually I have extras.......lol...one set is for my originals which I needed paint for and obviously they took off the stickers and the other was for the rep set...but apparently I hit the quantity button more than once.
I originally was gonna put an M sticker (like from the wheels) in there but then decided to go with the ACS ones to fill the gap. If anyone is interested...something like this:
