bmw 318i problem please help

the link is a bwm engine dnt what type or anything but seems to be st out in the same way as mine.

the black circle thing in the bottom left with a pipe coming out of it. what is it ? and is air suppose to be coming out of it ? any help would be appricated

as you can tell i know nothing about cars.

That is your air pump...and no, I don't think air should be coming "out" of it.

Do you have an SES (Service engine soon) light?

E46 318i EMISSION CONTROL-AIR PUMP


Where is the air coming out from? Seal at the top? Need more info!!!!!
