I bought a weighted m3 shift knob for it...should make the awesome B&M shift kit more smooth into 1st and 2nd.

I put mine up on the lift for its first time (with me), and Power-Sprayed the engine bay.

Oil pan gasket leaking onto front sway bar, and insulation around drive-shaft rubbing on drive shaft.

Other than that, everything looked ok. TRUE dual exhaust FTW

Continued trying to replace the hood release cable: Removed bolts on driver's side catch. Couldn't move it enough. Removed bolts on passenger side catch still no luck. Tried to remove little plastic housing in front of the catch. Removed some bolts now it wiggles. Figured maybe if I removed the grill. Drivers side not coming out so I tapped on passenger side. That one came out easy. So now that I know how it comes out, I wrestled with it and got it out too. Nope, still no access. I did notice that now the grill frame is sort of movable....if I remove the bolts over at the end. Now I have to take out the inner fender liner to get those bolts. Done, now I can twist the grill frame a bit and move the catch but still can't unhook the cable. Looks like tomorrow I get to do the other side. Why is it before you do something you have to do something else? Surely there has got to be an easier way to do this. Of course once I get the cable unhooked, I still have to get the new one into the passenger compartment. I can't imagine that will be easy.

Did the gas pedal/CEL style fault code read and found out I need a new o2 sensor. secured weather stripping in rear door. Re-secured head unit (it's goin to be a pain in the ass if needed to be removed). Soldered a new contact on break light bulb holder.

i had that problem with an e30 a few years back, ended up having a local mechanic replace it, install cost my like $30. well worth saving the headache.

You need to remove the entire nose piece to unhook the cable from the latches. Once that is done cut the rubber grommet off the old cable (where it goes through steel behind the kick panel) then attach the new cable to the old one and carefully pull the new one into place from under the hood. The cone shaped grommet has to enter the hole from the drivers side. Hope this helps.
