Glad I'm not the only one who knows how easy this kind of work is on the E36. Taking the front-end off to the front of the motor is pretty simple. So is yours back in good shape again?

Replaced both horns and got them working. Replaced wiper linkage. A job you hope you never have to do. I've done three of them

Finally removed my broken sunroof and installed the one I got from the junkyard for 20. It works perfectly! I sprayed all the tracks etc... with white litheum grease before install. Hopefully it helps prolong it's life.

+1 I need to do this on mine before it becomes an issue. I need to replace the fabric that fell off last summer, but I'm half tempted to just prep and paint the metal surface so I'd never need to worry about it again. I couldn't care less if that sunroof has a fabric surface or not.

Installed new Euro amber corners and turn indicators. Nothing broken just installed for new shiny stuff. I also just dropped it off for a complete detail to continue the shiny.

If you put them in the domelight, the way it's angled in an e36, you can always see the LEDs when you're sitting in the driver's seat ... it's distracting!
I have an autodim E32 mirror...I bet this would be a really easy DIY then for me (already have power). Just wonder if there is room in the mirror to do it. How do you pull the mirror apart?

The regular mirror (at least the newer ones .. maybe changed same time as OBD2?) are just 2 halves snapped together that you pry apart. My stock 95 mirror couldn't be separated.

On the autodim ... I am not sure. Work at your own risk! lol

Replaced the crankcase breather system, cleaned the IAC, installed new hood struts. Still have a vacuum leak somewhere that I need to find.

Next up, new motor mounts, transmission mounts and guibo. Hopefully then my acceleration vibrations will go away but I'm not going to hold my breath lol.

Mirror fell off the glass. So I bought some stuff and didn't wait for it to cure before popping the mirror back on so it snapped off again. This time I'll wait.... lol

Left side control arm and tie rod. Right side goes on tomorrow. Found I need a new sway bar link.

Damn those m3 control arms are heavy

I did the same thing with mine too. Ended up using the more expensive glue kit to make sure it stays on.

Swapped back to the stock DME/chip ... took out the Turner chipped DME that was in there. I am on a hunt for the MPGs that this car should have and used to have when I originally had it. I couldn't care less about it's performance these days. I think I'm old. lol

It's a PITA but the bevel will come off. A plastic wedge makes life easier.

Washed the car and cleaned the interior, I'm still amazed at the condition of it all.
All the cloth hate aside, this is a great looking poor-spec interior :P

What an interesting e36! Cloth Seats and Crank Windows yet is has a full OBC and (I assume) the automatic transmission for the M3.

Europe got a lot more e36s than we did in the US. They got some really stripped down versions too. You'll never see crank windows on any e36 that was imported directly to the US. Not many cloth seats either except on some of the low priced 318s almost all US cars got a OBC of some kind but tons of euro cars got a analog clock. Simple and elegant aaaaaaaannnnnndddddd......trouble free

Got the M3 aligned and took the first baby steps of installing the super charger. Talked to my families mechanic about paying him to replace my starter. I have a replacement but I am just plain sick of crawling under that car for a while. He said $100.
