Do not mind at all.
Non-OEM lights tend to be too bright in their chromes and reds, so like how you took a bit of the 'sting' out of it in this regard.
One thing I noticed is that with those led boards in there, you lost the oem-style slanted square size lenses yeah? Like on a E39.
that was a really good smoke op. Its hard to get a good smoke and not have it too dark or light.

I know this is an old thread.... but if its still active I have a question. This thread is the reason I just purchased the same lights and I'm considering the smoke job like you've done but because my e36 is white with all black pieces the clear look seems to work... although with my white and black theme I might black them completely. My question though isn't about smoking.... its technical. I just installed them and the black resistor boxes are connected but my turn signals are flashing a thousand miles a minute.... did you have any issues like this or any suggestions on what the issue might be?
