    C Pillar clip part#

Does anyone know the part numbers for the C pillar clips? Some of mine are broken and I can't seem to find them on realoem. I tried ordering what looked to be correct, but it was VERY wrong. Thanks.

Can you post the nbrs that are wrong so that we don't do the same thing when looking them up? And it might help if your "model year" was included in your car info or somewhere around your signature pic...just in case there may be a different part nbr used during the production run from 1997-2003. Thanks.

I have a 1997 e39 with a 1996 build date, so it's an early one. Here's the clip I ordered but was wrong: Part 51438189311-BOE. That might just be the pelican part # though.

    I came up with P/N - 51 43 8 189 311, also.

That's the only number for a plastic clip for the C-pillar shown for a US vehicle. The other fastener for the C-pillar is a body nut and a self-tapping screw.

    ditto^^^

When I take a closer look at clip #5 in the diagram...it apparently is a two-piece clip...did you get both sections? And if you did, are they seperated already or do they come pushed together and you have to seperate them before using them?

Although the diagram shows a #11 & #12...those clips don't appear in the part nbr index below the diagram???? Plus you can see what all three clips look like in the exploded hardware diagram in the lower right of the larger diagram.

(BTW...for those that don't know...the numbers that are circled indicate that they are hardware items...and they can be further identified in the hardware diagram within the larger diagram)

If you look at the picture of #5, it's a two-piece fastener made up of #11 & 12. They're right next to each other in the diagram.

Haha...came to the conclusion probably at the same time...as I was going back to edit my reply above.

I believe I only bought #12 which is all I need. The pin (male) part of the fastener is broken. The pieces I ordered are MUCH larger than what's on my car though. I'll try and snap some pics tonight.
