Time sure flies by when we’re having fun. DFW7 had its 21st Group Meet since our inception in 3/16/2002. The Social Meet last Saturday was sort of an unofficial celebration of our 7th Year Anniversary. Over the years, our club members have come and gone (i.e. hail damage, accident, lease return, sold, relocation, etc.). Many more have joined and enjoyed a good time together. Saturday's meet was no exception. Weather couldn’t have been better for North Texas standard. It was a cool, lazy day with a light breeze. Most of the DFW7 members have done all the mods they wish to do, and they were very helpful and accommodating as always to the newbies.
In all, 17 cars showed up, Maury (Bayou Bimmer) swung-by from Baton Rouge. I need to make a special mention of Terry (turkeybird740i), one of DFW7’s remaining two original members showed up. Terry had just fought a successful battle with stomach cancer. He is also the most devoted E38 member of DFW7 with three E38 in his current inventory. Roger (TxDarth) as always, show up one hour early to help organize the meet. Steve (aunechiropractic) along with Dave (dblunder) patiently assisted couple of the newbies with their questions and issues. The list of good will goes on forever and just about applies to all that attended.
As part of our effort to salvage what’s left of our image, we held our meet at Razzoo’s Cajun Restaurant, instead of Hooters or Bone Daddy’s (see
DFW7 Gallery for past meet Pics). The food was excellent and for the first time in a long time, we actually tasted our food and remembered what we ate
