Follow-Up on Sport Rotors ans 1793 YellowStuff Pads

I tried my new EBC Sport rotors and DM1793 compound YellowStuff pads at Mid Ohio Mon/Tues (18-19 Aug). Braking was phenomenal; excellent pedal feel and brake modulation.

I'm a left-foot-braker, and having the grooved/slotted EBC Sport rotors front AND rear, really smoothed out the blend between coming off the brakes, and squeezing on the gas--the transition is seamless, and this has improved my driving performance on track.

EBC offered me both their UK and US versions of their Sport Rotors. I have the UK versions installed up front, and US versions at the rear. The US versions are Brembo blanks EBC grooved/slotted/zinc-coated; the UK versions are rotors cast at EBC's UK foundry.

Pad wear was outstanding. I checked them at the end of each day, and probably wore ~2-3 mm of pad material from full pad thickness.

I'm still amazed how little dust there is with these pads when used on the track--compared with Hawk Blues/Blacks/HP Plusses (Hawk Blue pad dust permanently coats the wheel finishes if you don't clean the wheels after track use).

Kudos to EBC's Owner/Managing Director, Andy Freeman, for standing behind his products. He provides outstanding support and wants his customers to be 100% satisfied with his products.
