(1996 - 2002) In 1996 BMW added the Z3 to the lineup. First available only with the 1.9 liter engine, the Z3 went on to carry every 6 cylinder produced between 1996 and 2002. A fun, sporty little 2 seater came both in convertible and coupe form. Being a bit of a “parts bin” car, the Z3 is part E30, part E36, but all original.

(2003 - 2008) In 2003 the Z4 replaced the Z3. Meaner, edgier, and no longer a car born of spare parts, the Z4 took to the challenge of replacing the popular Z3 seriously. The shark like design, multi link rear suspension, and improved power makes the Z4 the new roadster to beat. In 2006 a coupe design was also introduced.

(2000 - 2003) As a tribute in design to the 50th anniversary of the 502, the Z8 was only retro to the eye. Fitted with the S62 from the E39 M5 and an aluminum chassis, the Z8 was the fastest production BMW of the time. The later Alpina version came an upgraded 4.8 from the X5 and an automatic transmission. Only 6,250 Z8s were made world wide.
