I have a 06 X5, almost 50,000 miles. Lately my dealer keeps pushing me to buy the 6 yr/100,000 mile extended maintenance for $2400. He promises that if I buy the extended maintenance, BMW will also cover my original warrenty till 75,000 miles bumper to bumper by courtesy. IS THIS TRUE? But he told me that I won't see the warrenty part in writing. I am wondering what if they don't honer it, I don't have anything as proof. Has anyone here heard anything like this? Hunterdon BMW in central Jersey is the dealer.

my 2001 z3 top wouldnt go down. Motor wouldnt engage. After reading your forum for a while you figured it out for me.

Make sure the trunk is closed all the way.
roll down both windows a little bit at least.
open it manually about 9 inches.. and then
press the brake pedal and press the button at the same time..

Im not sure which one was the winner.. but apparantly the top has sensors that know when trunks are open and where the windows are. Or I just wasnt starting it enough manually.. I was told of a microswitch in the top... Im not finding any .. but jiggling the above mentioned parts. worked..
so thanks a bunch people your the only site with the answers.

I have had my AA supercharged installed almost all summer and it hasn't been running clean since I put it on. I finally got around to bring it down to the tune shop to get it on a dyno and it turns out I am running at an AF ratio of about 17:1 which according to the shop I am lucky I didn't blow my pistons onto the floor. They think it could be my fuel pump no being able to push enough fuel into the injectors. Does anyone know if the fuel pumps on a non m3 E36 should be replaced when switched to FI?????? Other option is my filter could be causing blockage. Let me know i anyone has had this happen. Thank God I didn't blow my engine!! I drove with it like that from CT to the Bav auto show and shine!!

Picked this up tonight :D
For like really cheap.
Gray on dove gray interior. Needs a severe cleaning. May end up parting it, anyone want a 300$ M60 that runs mint? Headrests are mint and so are headlights. :D

Also, it has the privacy package which has the power rear sunshade and ones on the doors. Too bad they don't fit the E34 :(
