Getrag transmissions made in china???

So lately I've been seeing that alot of mustang owners are complaining about faulty trannies that come specifically with the new 5.0

So anyway I saw a bunch of reports that state the company ( Getrag ) that supplies ford and BMW 's as well apparently make their transmissions in china???

Can anybody shed a little light on this ?

Here's an interesting article....

For the most part the 2011+ Mustang has been void of any major problems, but if anything has caused trouble it’s the transmission. The Chinese-built Getrag MT-82 6-speed has already been the subject of one TSB regarding cold shifting problems, but many owners have reported more serious issues including binding gears, difficulty engaging in shifts and excessive noise and vibration.

To the dismay of many owners Ford has remained silent regarding the transmission issues, but it appears that the issue hasn’t gone completely unnoticed. Today the NHTSA announced that it is opening an investigation into transmission problems, reporting that they had received 32 complaints from owners regarding a sudden inability to shift into gear. According to the Detroit News, “some reports said incidents occurred while merging into high speed traffic, while others said incidents occurred while turning left across oncoming traffic.” The government agency will be taking a closer look at approximately 26,000 Mustangs that could potentially have the problem.

After the announcement Ford did acknowledge that they are aware of the problem. “We will fully cooperate with the government as they review this matter,” commented a company spokesperson.

Now apparently there was a recall done on te f150,navi and mustang because the automatics won't go in reverse and a few other things as well.

Does Getrag just supply ford with Chinese transmissions or do we get them also???

That or please link me to the topic/information that I so obviously missed and make me feel stupid, because I've just spent over an hour looking for it! It has GOT to exist in public information. I can't even find it in Bentley's!?

Is there any reason it's so hard to find? All the information on my A4S325R for my 330i is really easy to find...

Hi I am new at this and would appreciate any help I can get. I have had my 86 L7 for about a year. If I am on the wrong forum please let me know I don't see anything that lists the L7. I cannot get the car to start. It turns over just fine. I do not seem to be getting any power to the fuel system. I do not seem to have any power at the fuel pump relay. I do not know the pin outs or the wire color code to know what should be a constant hot, ground, input voltage, or output to the pump. I am tearing out my hair (and I don't have any to spare) trying to figure out where the turn on signal for the fuel system comes from and how to trace it. Normally I could hear the fuel pump turn on for a few seconds when I first turned the key. Now I hear nothing. I ran a hot wire back to the fuel pump and it runs just fine. I even drove the car to storage by using that way to make the car start. How can I troubleshoot the electrical side of the fuel system? Is there a high pressure electrical cut off somewhere I should be checking? I have swapped the relay with no change, I have also tried swapping the ECU unit with no change.
