Make sure the trunk is closed all the way.
roll down both windows a little bit at least.
open it manually about 9 inches.. and then
press the brake pedal and press the button at the same time..

Im not sure which one was the winner.. but apparantly the top has sensors that know when trunks are open and where the windows are. Or I just wasnt starting it enough manually.. I was told of a microswitch in the top... Im not finding any .. but jiggling the above mentioned parts. worked..

I finally got around to bring it down to the tune shop to get it on a dyno and it turns out I am running at an AF ratio of about 17:1 which according to the shop I am lucky I didn't blow my pistons onto the floor. They think it could be my fuel pump no being able to push enough fuel into the injectors. Does anyone know if the fuel pumps on a non m3 E36 should be replaced when switched to FI?????? Other option is my filter could be causing blockage. Let me know i anyone has had this happen. Thank God I didn't blow my engine!!
