Mashpee Commons has been nice enough to let us take some parking away from them in order to provide auto enthusiasts with a gathering spot. A very non-formal show is what we desire with a huge turnout. Local business are going to offer a bunch of free and discounted stuff to participants...ie you get free stuff/food/whatever for showing up and showing off whatever you have.This gathering will be posted on as many forums as we can hit, and we are hoping to offer a great selection of eye-candy for everyone.
We can also do a nice cruise after 3PM like the GTG's of old through some twistys nearby.
We hope to see you there.

Change of plans for me. I WILL still be attending, but the 540i won't be out of the shop in time for the trip down, so...I'll be bringing my 318i instead. Completely and utterly stock...one hubcap not like the other 3...dings and scratches galore...but I love it. It's not a showcar, but dammit, I want to show something, lol.

Maybe I'll have my shop throw a sound system in there in time for the drive down...

I went with a few friends who have muscle cars, and I swear people were looking at my car like some super exotic. I heard one guy say "Its nice if you could afford it.." haha afford what 9k?

Depending on how things go, we are going to do a show once a month down here. I will post up with dates well in advance for upcoming events. I will check against BMWSCCA schedules so everyone can make it down without losing points.

Yeah, I have pics of just about every car that was there that day...haven't had a chance to upload them yet, though. Dialup connection + 6meg files = sadpanda, so I have to do it at work.

Other than the Bimmer shown above, there was my 318i and Burn's friend/brother/long lost cousin's 5-er there. Shame there wasn't a better turnout European-wise...

I think with the success of this show, we can look forward to better turnouts every successive time we host it. Granted we got a lot of classic muscle, but we also had some really interesting cars there, as well. The twin-engine Rabbit was a show in and of itself, and the drag car almost stopped my heart when it went by, with how loud it was. Given enough time, I think we can see a lot of good, solid people with excellent cars there.

Kudos to Scott and the rest of the crew at Zoey's for setting this up and keeping us all fed. You guys rawk.

2008 is going to be a great show year. We have been talking to a bunch of local clubs, and the response has been great. While we didn't draw the diverse crowd we were hoping for, we drew a larger crowd than expected our first time out. With better planning and more notice, we hope to give people a unique show on a monthly basis that will connect old friends, help people make new friends, and even help sell a unique car to the right buyer. We're enthusiasts at heart, we love cool shit.

DaBeema- who would have thought that we knew each other eh? What a riot. It was a nice and welcome surprise for the wife and I to see you.

i6or- thanks for snapping off those pics and giving everyone a taste of what was there. I rarely introduce myself to people, but next time I will.

Date for the next show will be June 22. I'll make a new thread over the weekend.
