First off I would like to thank you all for supporting and participating at our last event MFEST last March 7-9 and the WheelPower bbq meet last April 20th :urtheman ...And due to the overwhelming response and request to do another event this special we were inspired to do it AGAIN :buttrock(this year only)... For the guys who have been to our meets, you already have an idea on how we do it (GBOGH) and for those who missed some of our events, your missing alot!...We are laying out the ground work and what not for this event including HOTEL RESERVATIONS and we want to keep the same theme/ vibe "Camaraderie"... we have thought of different dates and the best dates we have so far is Aug. 29-31 (Sept.1 is labor day)... as i know some of you have family plans during the holidays hence the reason why we are posting the dates early so you can make appropriate arrangements and hopefully be able to attend our humble event ( you can even bring the family along for some fun)...We will walk you thru as we progress on the schedule of events and trust me this is another event that you wouldn't wanna miss...again i thank you all and hope to see new and old faces:redspot

There will be a car competition $$$ prizes and trophies will be given out, and we welcome the team and crew to show as there will also be a best in team/ crew competition aswell...

Yes we will have 4-5 meeting spots for the caravan for Friday a.m as there will be atleast 150+ cars leaving SoCal...we will post them up asap...:buttrock

ok....well i think a better place would the victoria gardens mall considering that the place is huge and that there should be plenty of areas where we an all pow-wow and meet up and then meet up in barstow

Here is the low down on the Hotel and rates (this is not yet set in stone as we need to sign and make a deposit for the rooms but hopefully we can give you guys the group rate code ASAP)

well the thing is with victoria gardens is that it is on the way up to vegas and it might just be backtracking a little bit for people living in san bern....but for the 951's it shouldnt be that bad oh well i could be wrong

and san bernardino isn't? Your heading that way anyways. People from san bernardino would be backtracking about 20min+ just to drive back toward SB. I lead the IE caravan for bimmerfest. 1st i had a spot i thought was good until i realize that the mills would have been better off so i changed it.

IIRC it is King size and you acn opt for two double beds...I will have a rate for the suite for those people who wish to have a bigger room and the regular room is ample for 4-5 people (for guys who wants to save money)...

Ok here it goes while were waiting for the room reservation group rate code, let's start making the Mfest tshirts asap as our plan is not just tshirts with our logo BUT INSTEAD WE WANT YOUR NAME, HANDLE OR TEAM TO BE PRINTED ON THE SLEEVES...now pls let make it easy on everybody (especially the guys who will be printing the tshirts:)) I will post it on a different thread so as not to create confusion/ clutter to this thread. You will have to pay in advance thru paypal ONLY...be specific with your name and what not...pricing will be posted asap as i am trying to source out an affordable but good quality printer that can do everything we need...
Second we will have Mfest stickers out and another idea is to get M badges including Non Ms...painted matt black or gloss black with the German color on them as this will represent Mfest...cost is TBD.
this is just a tip of the iceberg on what we will have for you guys...

We got the room rates lowered finally (as i have told you guys we have been working on so as to be able to save you guys as much $$$ as possible)...we will post the grp rate code as early as next week so you guys can book your rooms asap...there will be a cut off date and after the cutoff date, rates will go up significantly...pls do remember that we are signing a contract and will depositing $$$ for x amount of rooms so pls book your rooms accordingly...

Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa
Friday ... $135+tax and $20 resort fee= @$167.15
Saturday ... $135+tax and $20 resort fee= @$167.15
Sunday 125+tax and $20 resort fee= @$156.25

Aside from this they will block off a covered parking space for the cars so we will be all together in one spot, will give us a section of the pool area for the afternoon pool party/ raffle and awarding ceremony ( Cabanas are extra but some of the sponsors who are going to have Cabanas so you guys can relax and talk to the sponsors and have a drink or two with them, drinks are extra)...and more

First off we know it is going to be hot that weekend but trust me it'll be hotter in your area aswell:hihi:, so what better way to spend your long weekend (vacation) but with a bunch of friends and enthusiast like you, by the pool, in the show or the drive having FUN!!! :woohoo:

Our plan of activities but not yet set in stone ....

Friday

5:30 a.m...Arrival at all meeting spots for the caravan going to Vegas

6 a.m ...Depart our respective caravan

8:30 a.m- 9 a.m ...Regroup at Barstow and gas up

9:30 a.m... Depart Barstow

10:30 a.m Re group from all different states for the grp drive (location and meeting spots TBA) and yes we will have a helicopter again to take pics and video if possible:3:

12:30 pm Arrive Red Rock Casino and Resort Spa (we will have a designated covered parking) ...Check in and registration time for all participants and the sponsors

12:30 -2 p.m. Lunch at the buffet

4 p.m. Regroup at the parking lot to go to for the first activity at hand (go kart shootout which will be hosted by one of the Black Label sponsors, we will be giving away raffle prizes and giveaways)...

9 p.m. Awarding of the goo kart shoot out...

Saturday

7 a.m Rollin time for the vendors and setup

8 a.m Rollin for the show and shine car competition ( Location is TBD)

9 a.m Show and Shine car competition starts

10 a.m Judging

12 noon end of show and shine

Just got the word that EVOMS and ESS S/C cars and more Arizonian's are coming...but not to worry SoCal contingent I am working on RPI on bringing their Noble and inviting other Noble M400/ 12's, M5/M6's and Z4M, VF on bringing their S/C M3's and the Oregon guys are packing HPF M3 cars, Active autowerke not to mention other Tuners across the country...Dang i can't believe i'm typing the type of cars coming?

"As some of you participated and witnessed at last year’s MFest (March 7-9 2008), it was the birth of something new and exciting for the BMW and other high-end Euro communities. During this first event, we had over 150 cars consisting of 95% BMW M cars, which ranged from older to the newest generation, as well as other high end European cars. And due to the overwhelming response, we’ve decided to hold it again this Labor Day weekend, August 29-31, 2008.

At MFest our motto is, "Redefining the enthusiast and the community through camaraderie." We thrive to bring the community together and always bring something new to the table for the participants and sponsors, and what better way to do this than in sunny Las Vegas, NV!"

MFest encompasses a three day non-stop action and excitement event for its participants, vendors and sponsors. There will be a go-kart shoot out hosted by sponsors allowing major exposure to fellow enthusiasts. A show and shine car competition which allows sponsors to come out and show off their products. And various night time activities for more “stage time” for sponsors. Our ultimate goal is to create a more relaxing environment were the participants and sponsors can have time to connect, be able to hear both sides and be able to grow together. We would like to make this event as special as possible to keep you anxious for the next.

At this time we would like to open the doors to other non-M BMW brothers (and sisters) that missed the previous event. We currently have over 200 vehicles already registered to attend, and we still have three more months until the next MFest! We are projecting more than 400 cars this time around!

We would like to invite you to come out and experience first hand what MFest is all about. Come have fun with us and support our fast growing community of “ENTHUSIASTS".

Plan of Activites

Friday | August 29th, 2008

5:30 a.m. -- Arrival at all meeting spots for the caravan going to Vegas
6 a.m. -- Depart our respective caravan
8:30 a.m. - 9 a.m. -- Regroup at Barstow and gas up
9:30 a.m. -- Depart Barstow
10:30 a.m. -- Regroup from all different states for the group drive (location and meeting
spots TBA) and yes we will have a helicopter again to take pictures and video if
possible.
12:30 pm -- Arrive at Red Rock Casino and Resort Spa (we will have a designated covered parking) Check in and registration time for all participants and the sponsors.
12:30 -2 p.m. -- Lunch at the buffet.
4 p.m. -- Regroup at the parking lot to go to for the first activity at hand (Go-Kart ShootOut which will be hosted by one of the Black Label sponsors, we will be
giving away raffle prizes and giveaways).
9 p.m. -- Awarding of the Go-Kart ShootOut.

Update:

We are currently looking into the possibility of finding additional rooms at a different but close by Hotel from Red Rock ( i will meet with the manager of Red Rock on Monday and see if she can give us more rooms as per conference call this week Red Rock is at it's max capacity ), i will post the results on Monday and for those who don't have rooms yet pls pm me asap....just to give you guys an idea we have booked 250+ rooms( in less than a month):clap: already and that's in Red Rock alone (as some people book their rooms else were or will be staying with friends/ family ) and for comparison, last March we booked a total of 120 rooms...thanks

We just got back from Vegas (we met with some of the sponsors, car clubs, and did a dry run) and I would like to thank the guys who went with me to Vegas (Robar, Batman and their wifey's)...we have alot of good news and a little bit of bad news (no more additional rooms at Red Rock)...all i can say for now is if you've been to the first MFest with us and like the first one ...imho this is by far the most exciting and the most fun event...but we will be needing everybody's cooperation and help to make this event possible...i will be posting a pre registration fees so everybody can pay online and this will help us greatly on better organizing the entire event...

For those in doubt if you want to attend this years Mfest... here's a pic of the pool area were we blocked of this entire section for the pool party after the show and shine...

Yes this entire section will be ours (Cabanas 1-9+) :pimpin: The Premier/ Black label and the gold sponsors will have their own cabanas...
Note: that there are two pools in front of the cabanas for us and a few steps will be the main pool and our area is elevated so you can see everybody...

We should have the grp rate code by today or tomorrow for the JW Marriot http://www.jwlasvegasresort.com/ again guys spots are very limited sos pls book your rooms as soon as i post the code and the rate ( $139 per night + tax)...note that JW Marriot is no more than 3 miles to Red Rock and you still can party/ participate on all the activites at Red Rock with us...

here's a post from a member who lives in Vegas about JW Marriot...

As a Las Vegas resident, I can tell you guys that the JW Marriott is one of the best hotels in the city. It is a relatively unknown property since it is west of the strip, but it is awesome. The rooms are huge, with giant marble bathrooms with all marble walk in rain showers. The hotel is a true 4+ star. It has one of the best spa/gym combinations in the city. It's attached to a low key but "classy" casino. Also, there's a great upscale restaurant there called "Carmel" with private curtained off booths for some footsie action under the table. My wife and I are staying there the weekend of our 22nd anniversary in early August. It is definitely our choice when looking for a local hotel. The only warning I would give about the hotel is that it is somewhat 'staid" and does not have the party atmosphere of the Red Rock.

For those needing rooms... The deposit was made and we got JW Marriot in Vegas (grp code: Mfemfea (very close to Red Rock and a very nice Hotel aswell) you can book/ reserve online just click on the link http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/lasjw?groupCode=mfemfea&app=resvl choose the dates ( August 29-30 or till 31, 2008 ) and follow the instructions... rates are 139 per night plus 9% = @ $150.51 total per night...again i cannot state enough that you have to book your rooms asap as this rooms will go fast...there are not many left and some of Mfest guys gave up their rooms at Red Rock and gave it to the newbies, I (most likely) will be staying at JW Marriot we decided to do this so nobody will feel left out and for the "Camaraderie of Mfest" note: that were ever you book your rooms you are more than welcome to participate on ALL the Mfest activities and parties...now we did our part it's up to you guys to do yours...

After many hours of calculating and negotiations, we have priced the whole Mfest registration fees on a College student budget:) (which as everybody knows on the meetings we had that i was pushing for an affordable event ) so everybody can afford and participate, i highly recommend everybody going to Mfest to pre register as it would really help us and make the event more organized...also if you register at the event it'll be more than the pre registration...

I told the guys in our meeting that since show and shine is $15 per car, what we'll do is refund the $15 per person if you rolled in with other people on one car at the event...as far as everything else here is the complete break down...

Note: An example I will use the the go kart shoot out; Poleposition can only race 70 cars (THE MOST) per hour for $2500 divide it by 70 guys $35.71 we are absorbing the $10.71 for each racer just to make it cost effective (this i didn't want to tell you guys but I have to now)...In Vegas any place we go with the amount of people we are bringing we have to rent the place, normally in Vegas when you rent a place/ area it's alot of $$$ ( Vegas is not what it used to be 10-30 years ago, were it was still cheap and the food is free, Vegas is now commanding their fees as they are always booked or sold out) also there is a minimum amount of $$$ we should be able to spend in that place if we don't cover that amount then WE are still liable for it as we signed off a contract and made a deposit prior the engagement...And finally it is very very hard to negotiate with companies when they ask me what kinda cars were bringing...

i hope this answers some of your questions and feel free to post your questions....

Again guys pls. think of it as a cruise or a buffet, everybody has to pay the same, as everybody can enjoy/ use the the facilities...

For the guys asking if they can choose their events...here is the scenario as much as we want everybody to pay at every event they choose it'll take forever and will require alot of manpower to do it which means we need to hire people= increase overhead cost and we have to double the entrance fee of each event if they choose to pick their events, which i'm sure alot of people will complain...bottom line even if we only charge $20 there will be people who will STILL complain, so this is the question i need to get an answer, When you go to Vegas are you only willing to spend less than $135?:dunno

The video for this coming Mfest in August will be "Insane" as we had time to really plan it RIGHT (on board camera's, outside and arial video will be done and we will have atleast three Mfest photographers (lead by Hansen) this time around and watch out for the Mfest commercial in a week or two:D
