Hey where's our interior air filter???

2007 si Coupe...

under the hood, right up near the windsheild, you'll see two plastic fasteners. Take these off, and the filter is right there.

right side? left side? And what is the general shape / size?

It's right in the center. It's about a foot, foot and a half long...can't miss it.

In my 2006 Z4 M Coupe it's in the interior on the passenger side.
Just above the front of the carpet on the left side.
