I've been out of the detailing scene for a bit and I'd like some opinions on various products I should pick up.

I've got caked on bugs and they don't want to come off. I've tried to scrub with soap and water with a semi-rough sponge (keep in mind, this is all below the bumper on the front of the car) and it didn't really help much.

I also want recommendations on the best cleaner for my dash and doors. My driver side door area (interior) is quite worn and dirty and I'd love to be able to clean it up. Also something that will clean and protect the dash area.

Finally, I'd like to know what you think I should use for the engine bay. I have a lot of dirt and grime in there.

Appreciate it!

for the bugs, try a clay kit by meguiars or mothers that you can pick up just about anywhere, if that doesn't work, buy goo gone at walmart or target. and for the interior, use some armorall products to clean and shine.

For bugs using clay would help, but don't press too hard or you will marr the paint.
For cleaning your dash and doors I recommend 1z Einzett Premium Cockpit. It's a great product, it cleans nicely and leaves a good matte finish. For the engine bay you could use any all purpose cleaner but what works best is a degreaser. You can get some at Chemical Guys. Also, what I use for the engine bay, is P21s Total Auto Wash, or TAW. Great stuff..

Dont use armor all, its bad for the dash and such. It dries it out, if going otc, get Megs Quick interior detailer or Optimum protectant plus on autogeek.net
