well where did you get the wheels?

My family owns an auto repair shop and we bought them off of a towing company in mount kisco. they were off of a wrecked e36 M3. The man never paid for the towing so they took the M3 and sold a few parts to us and the rest went to the crusher :(.

Looks like they polished it too much that the ring that goes around the center got obliterated. That's what happened to my non-stamped.

Well, they are lightweights. But the only ones sold in the US were either polished or stamped. Not both like the M3 GTs. So yes, they're rare.

they're not chrome. they're polished. and the m3gt wheels don't seem to have the sticker on them from other photos on google. they look legit.

There's no M logo spot for LTW wheels that are stamped.

I would say that because they have what looks like paint inside the stamps they are polished wheels that used to be painted.

Thats what they were. Originally painted now polished. I can tell by the stamps as you said.

Someone just sold a MINT set of the real polished canadian rims for 810 plus 180 for shipping. These are pretty rashed up so i bet if you lower your expectations on the price you could get rid of them. Good luck on the sale!!
