View Full Version : Feeler for interest in a Bay Area Dent Day in May
xqwizit 05-07-2008, 05:26 PM ***Confirmed Event***
Date, place and time are updated.
Sunday, May 18th, 2008 (THIS COMING SUNDAY)
At the Presidio at a parking lot on the corner of Mason and Marshall (right under the overpass)
Starts at 9:30am and time slots will be based upon sign up list below and then first come first served thereafter. If you have multiple cars, please list number of cars you'll have. I'd expect an approx 30 min per car on average (I know this is going to be off for some reason). Also, please PM me your phone number so I can call you the day of just in case I'm wondering if you are going to show up or not.
Price has been confirmed at $35 for small dents and prices vary for dents with more difficulty and quantity discounts are available.
If you need more specifics, please ask and if I can't answer, then I can give you Justin's contact info so you can ask him for more specifics.
-------------------------------------------------------
Please reply back with a list of potential interest.
Plan to start at about 9:30am and go on from there.

stanksbeamen 05-07-2008, 07:30 PM Where would this be? That prices seems really low, i think it would be 2x that. Post final price and where its going to be held to get more ppl on board. Im interested.
xqwizit 05-07-2008, 09:07 PM It's been held in the nice part of Potrero Hill at an I-club vendor's place of business. Yes, no doubt $25 is cheap but that was the going rate. It wouldn't be double that but definitely cheaper than anywhere else. In any case, here's a thread from the prior I-club dent day for your reference:
http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181346
Also, there is a limited number of spots so you just can't show up.
M3x415 05-08-2008, 11:58 AM Hey I'm down to do this.
I need some small dents taking out of my car, nothing major.
Please PM for what time and where at?
If there is a list please put me on it.
thanks!

jonjon0nline 05-08-2008, 04:52 PM Any panel rates? I have a bunch of little dings on my pass. door.
xqwizit 05-08-2008, 05:45 PM I just spoke with Justin and there are no panel rates but he won't charge you for 6 dents if there are 6 dents in one panel, he will give a discounted rate. I-club members have been very satisfied with his work and prices in the past. Definitely much cheaper than say DentPro, etc.

The dates are flexible but I was planning on the 18th since he's busy on the 17th and I will be out of town the following weekend after that. So if there's enough people who want it pushed out a few weeks, we can have it in June. Otherwise, the I-club members are possibly having a dent day on the 25th of this month and I'm sure that you could stop by on that day as well.
I'll wait a few more days and see how the list turns out. I'd need a few more people signed up so it would be worth Justin's time so please help spread the word. Thanks!

does this also cover the roof>?
xqwizit 05-09-2008, 07:56 PM I'll have to call Justin to be sure but I'd assume that pricing is the same for dents no matter where they are on the car except for dents in hard to reach areas or crease lines. Do you have other dents too or just dents on your roof?
stanksbeamen 05-09-2008, 11:34 PM Wow that is pretty good pricing. I have one little dent on Driver side panel right behind the door. This is paintless dent removal right, like wont mess up paint? Also post the address for this place, didnt look in other thread but i live like an hour or so from San Fran and would ike to know how far it is etc.
xqwizit 05-09-2008, 11:40 PM Yes, it's paintless dent removal. It should not mess up the paint as long as the paint isn't cracked and it is original paint. I'll have to confirm on a place. I was hoping to use Alchemy Motor's location but I may have to find another location if I cannot confirm it soon. I will update as soon as I find out.
Mistermotorist 05-10-2008, 12:22 AM I will be out of town on the 18th, but if this gets kicked over to June, I'm in

I have a barely noticeable dent on my roof.. I saw it while iw as detailing.... its more like a half dent.. And i have a dime size dent on my door... And might bring down a couple mre cars...
xqwizit 05-12-2008, 02:17 PM I just spoke with Justin and the roof is a different charge and pricing will be on an estimate basis. He recommends that if you want to save some money and also save him time, go and remove your headliner in advance. Also, it will depend if you have a sunroof or not since sometimes the sunroof brackets need to be lowered (not necessarily removed). What you can do is bring some tools to remove your headliner and while he's working on other cars, remove your headliner while you are there.
If you'd like to talk to him directly, PM me and I'll give you his contact info. Same offer goes to others who have more detailed questions.

There are slots open still, correct?
How long does the process take? I can't spend all day at this thing. :evil2
azndrifter127 05-13-2008, 09:54 PM me too i have lots need to take care of..but ill be out of town around the end of the month..and ill be back around the first week of june..so is it ok to push the day back until then..thanks guys..
kris..
puffdragon415 05-13-2008, 11:48 PM I'll be working on that date but if you push it out to later this month or in june, I'm down. Is this a 3-series thing or can anyone go. Got a 7er and it needs some dent removal.
xqwizit 05-14-2008, 12:13 AM Sorry guys, it's been confirmed for the 18th but Justin may be able to make it to another one in June if there's enough interest. It looks like that is a strong possibility. We'll see how this weekend goes and I'll keep you guys posted.
It won't take all day, you don't need to show up at 9:30 but I will be there then to meet with Justin, give him a list of people so you guys can stop by when you can and he can start working on his car. If any of you have any time commitments and would like to request a time slot, just let me know and I'll try my best to accomodate everyone's request. I wouldn't imagine him taking longer than an hour with most of your cars that have a few dents unless you have dents on every single panel of your car. You can bring any car you want, it's not a 3 series thing. My friends are bringing an RX8 and also an Acura TL so if you have other friends who may be interested, let them know and sign up for them if they are interested.

Hey Benny,
Glad to see it's not just a 3-series thing..lol..I still can't make it. If it does happen again at a later date put me down as a definite, no joke, my car needs it. Also wouldn't mind meeting 3-series peeps because you guys know where all the deals are and that's fact. Feel free to PM me if you get a later date or at least post in this thread(I'm subscribed to it).
Thanks for the info,
