Good Afternoon Everyone;
Just a quick question after digging around this forum and getting a pretty good understanding of how Offset works to find a good set of wheels.
Currently have a 1992 E30 Cab., with the stock steel rims (14" x 6", ET33 from what I've read).
I'm looking at a set of Rims that are the correct 4x100 Bolt Pattern, they are 17" x 7", ET(Offset) 42mm, without changing anything if you plug that into the 1010Tires Offset Calculator, it spits back that they won't fit because of the high offset (22mm to close to the inside/struts). So in this case, would the best solution if I understand offset correctly, be to simply purchase a 15 or 20mm Offset Plate from H&R Springs, so that I'm only about 2mm closer to the inside, and about 18mm further out? My understanding is that I simply need this Offset Plate to push the wheels back out for a Final offset of about 27mm....
