BMW Castrol Synthetic. At around $4.20 per bottle with BMW CCA discount it can't be beat. Only a handful of motor oil is approved to be used. Whatever oil you use must meet BMW's LL-01 long interval fill specs. As far as I know, Some Elf/Total oil, the Mobil 1 0-W40, and the Eurospec Castrol 5w-30 meet that standard. There may be a few more but I'm too busy to look them up. iranmeba 05-07-2008, 01:31 PM i use mobil 1 5w-30. that does just fine for me. caseysc1 05-07-2008, 01:47 PM Run what you got.
