So I bought an 07 R1 in ohio, but I havent had time to pick it up. Yesterday Logik tells me he can make the trip, so I load him into a truck with a ramp so he can load it up and drive it back.

Anyhow the truck breaks down about 1hr 30mins into the trip. So logik is stranded in some weird ohio town. Like deliverance shit.

So I jump in a car, and do about 90mph the whole way to him. So I get out there to pick him up, and im like "fuck it, lets finish this trip. I will just ride it back." LOL it was like 48degrees and like 10pm at night by the time we get there. We finish the drive all the way to the middle of nowhere to pick this bike up.

The bike is beautiful!!

So I jump on it, and ride 3hrs back in 40degree wheather. Worst idea ever! LOL Im so stiff today its sick.

Thank god im not sick...

Comparison between that and the M5 you had a few months ago?

Sure.. Just a quick overview as I havent got a chance to really put the E55 to the test.

Similarities:

They both feel the same as far as size, interior space, and curb apeal. They both have that "BEAST" affect. They are also both in my mind sleepers.

Differances:

1. Handling...

The E55 has adjustable suspension. So with the push of a button it is either on stilts, or moderatly low to the ground... Really cool! Also the E55 has a button that electronically changes the Dampening of the car. Two clicks, and it is a progressive stiffer setting... So slam it down, then stiffen it.. Handles unreal for a big car..

The M5 came with a very nice one setting modertly stiff, comfortable suspension setup. Also Handles very well for a big sedan. It is comforable till you get into a big turn where it would progressivly stiffin up. Not much body roll for a big car.

I havent got a chance to see exactly how the E55 handles, but I am thinking it could possibly out preform the M5.. Tuff to say. I need to get on some back roads, and parking lots to put it to the test.

2. Transmission

The M5 was a 6-speed manual (wish I will miss to death) Great gear ratios, easy to shift, but as we all know M5's are clutch eating monsters. After I dropped the Clutch masters stage 2 in her.. It was badass! My last 8 cars where a manual tranny.

The E55 has a Tiptroic Auto Transmission w/sport+comfort modes. the comfort mode shifts clean and luxury. The sport mode shifts harder, and is better when you unleash the power. It has paddles on the steering wheel almost like an SMG, but not the same. It really is nice, but I prefer a manual as always. Mercedes just doesnt offer it.

3. Brakes

E55 has 8-piston front calipers, and 4-piston rear! Nuff said! LOL

M5 has bigger brakes, but nothing even close...

4. Power

M5 has 400HP, and is trully awsome to drive.. Great 0-60, and just buzzes to 120 really quick. I love the way it feels, and its very predictable.

The AMG is rediculous...I am not even going to say anything but :eyecrazy

Both great cars on any rate... Best i can do as far as comparison. (for now)

Yes, he did, at a dinner that I was able to attend. He's a neat guy, but when they gave him the flintlock that they always award to the keynote speaker, it was grossly apparent that he was unsure as to how to hold it.
