Ok, so i've installed the head on my car today with my MSL cometic 140" hg it was sketchy putting the head on with the head studs in place and a complete un-car guy helping me position the head...
in the prossess some of the assembly oils leaked from the head onto the MLS gasket will this lead to problems? i really couldent clean it at all...
anyone ran into this before?

Dude, you aren't supposed to put it on with the studs on. You put the head on, locate it with the dowels, THEN thread the studs in... But, I don't think it should do anything really, I know its pretty much impossible to not... Tho, you may have been using too much oil?

This is what i thought!! i was told different from a local guy so i installed the head sutds hand tight then put the head on with the MLS gasket..
i did use alot of asy lube, straight 30W to be exact.. it did get on the gasket, quite abit i may add.. was hopeing it woudnt cause a problem.. but didnt know if it had an effect on the preformance of the gasket mating surfaces or not.........

No reason you can't put the head on with the studs in place, so long as there is room to properly position the head without scratching the surface.
