I am just wondering, when people drive in their BMW's to the redskin games, how you can determine what are good seats?

a) it appears one can get a pair of tickets in section 100-105, rows 10-20, for about $4500. It looks like this places you fairly close to the field. So, not bad at all. No parking or tailgate passes.

b) Or, you can get joe gibbs club level tickets -- orange parking pass; but, these are in Sections 300+. These tickets cost anywhere from $6000-9000 for a season pair. What makes these seats so good? You are farther away it seems --

Can anyone help that's been to redskins' games or is a season ticket holder?

Plus, when parking in your MARB, what are the best parking passes to have? What about tailgate passes?

Thanks,

James

Where to start?

My friend had club level seats at FedEx with a pass. Very convenient parking, get there early and tailgate. Club level lets you take a break from the heat or cold, and buy food not available to the outside world.

Would I spring for the seats? No way. You can't bring anything into the stadium at all, You have to buy it there at outrageous prices. $7 beer, $7 burger, $4 small bag of nuts... no thanks.

With no parking, you have to park somewhere else. I parked at the church nearby and got charged $45 to park. You can park further away, but have to take a shuttle.

I would rather buy a big flat screen, and stay home.

Thanks -- so, with lower seats, you can bring in food or drink if it's not a club level seat? Never been to Fed Ex field -- so, do not know what are good seats.

Well, my father is getting older, and never could afford to go to the games -- and, he played football (LB) for Western Illinois University and then transferred to Univ. of Colorado. He's getting older and I thought it might be a good birthday present for him. Not sure if the 100 level seats or club level seats would be better for him. He's around 70 ... didn't think they were 'that' expensive.

I know when I took him to a game in Chicago -- soldier field, great seats, it was significantly cheaper for season tickets there (early 2000). I mean, significantly cheaper ...

Well you can look up a seating chart on the net. Generally the lower you are the better. What makes the club level so good is the indoor area and the food. The club level seats are almost never full during games. People who buy these seats are not there to watch the game.

I used to be a season ticket holder and gave up my seats. Aside from their poor performance, it was simply no longer any fun to go to the games. I don't tailgate but the people that do are generally rude, take up multiple parking spots, litter, leave charcoal ashes all over, beer cans and food containers etc., the parking lots themselves are not bad but trying to get in and get out can be a nightmare since Danny boy added more seats.

I was once blocked in by people parling illegally and the police refused to do anything saying that it was a stadium security matter. I had to wait for the drunken idiot to come out and move before I could leave.

IMHO, save your money, you can buy a nice tv and hd package for your home and watch the games from there.

i assume you're already on the waiting list and your name has come up? Or just going thru a ticket broker perhaps? i've been a season ticket holder for a while now and used to work at FedEx Field :D

Kinda hard to get lower level seats b/c it takes many, many years to actually get enough seniority to get there. Although they have been offering something called Tailgate Club or something where they tack on an additional initiation fee and a BBQ. Its kind of a rip off IMO b/c the jack the price of an $89 ticket to something like $150.

Club level is nice, but very pricey. Usually have to sign a multi-year lease and I think it starts at like $300/game. Parking is included I think. Personally I think the sight lines are the best in the club section b/c you're high enough to see over the players and can see the plays develop better than in the lower bowl.

If you do get season tickets, parking is NOT included (except for club section I think). And not all lots allow tailgating (make sure you find out which you're getting). There's a waitlist for parking as well, which I have been on for a few years.
