SC BMW M3 vs 95 Dodge Viper Rt

I was on my way home from picking up a movie, when I saw a red beast trailing about 50ft behind me. I took a left onto a street from the light and he followed. The road opened up into a two lane and he came up to my side and waved. I waved back and then he stomped it. I thought WTF, lets see how the M3 does against this one. He took a left onto a single lane street. I was right on him arse in 2nd at 4000rpms. Then he stomps it. I follow and he just could not get away. He shut it down at 120mph (I was in 4th). Then we hit lights and after the lights is a single lane up a hill with a few easy turns. He takes off slow and then stomps it and catches me in 3rd at 40mph, not good. I quickly down shift to second and hit it and the back end spins. I catch up by the end of 3rd and he is unable to get away again at the end of 4th (135mph). He shuts it down and pulls over. 1st thing he asks me is what do I have under the f**cking hood. I tell him and he says nice. We chat for a while and I show him my car featured in PBMW. He loved the car and said he had seen it a number of times in Auburn and always wanted to have a chat. I would love to race him from a stand still side by side. Maybe one day.

Nice races and very nice looking car. You should put that big "M Power" sticker on your rear bumper instead of your windshield, though. Most people probably won't be looking at you through their rear-view mirror. :evil2

edit: Have you run your car at the drag strip? Do you have 1/4 times or dyno stats? Also, what elevation are you at in WA? I wish you were closer to me; I'd love to race you. :bawl

I am putting down close to 350 rwhp. I do not know the elevation. And I have not gone to the drag strip yet

Thanks

Thats not all. When I asked him what the fastest he has been in the car, he said 176mph. When the stats show a top speed of 165mph. And when he asked me what hp I was at the wheels he said he was putting down 400hp at the wheels on a stock motor

Awesome race man. Can you list what you have done to the car?

Jags, he might be stretching the rwhp #'s a bit, but his speedo "could" have read 176-ish, but he was only going 160-165 mph, something as little as older tires (diameter) can throw off speedo accuracy at those high speeds, by quite a bit....

Thanks all. I thought he was strecthing the rwhp figures by quiet a bit as the viper is making 400 at the crank and not the wheels.

I have a vortec SC at 13psi, w/a injection, and AA SW, LTW Flywheels and Sach racing clutch
