So I signed up to drive a BMW from Co's to Winslow as part of the Komen charity drive and was wondering who else is doing it? If enough people are from Denver, maybe we can carpool up to Loveland?

I received an email from Co's about this a couple weeks ago, it looks interesting, but I don't know exactly what it is all about?

Basically, the Komen foundation didn't find drivers to transfer all the cars from Co's to Winslow, so Co's was (or maybe still is) asking for volunteers to drive the cars down to Colorado Springs instead. Each mile driven in the car is $1 towards the foundation!

How old do you have to be?

eh, (cough, cough) *what about driving record* is the more important issue....

...some of us enthusiasts have acted upon our enthusiasm while an was seen doing so, or atleast allegidly, by a "law" officer, and now alot of TRUE enthusiasts are deemed "unemployable" by the very hand that delt them their love affairs

...you know, not speaking from personal experience here or anything... ;)

I honestly don't know. I'm sure they don't want the young guys (like you and I) with one of their faster cars.

Ahhh...I see where you're going with this. I got nailed two months ago, so you wouldn't be the only one with a blemished record.

Hmm, well I think I'll make an appearance in the morning sometime and see if I can get behind the wheel of an E60.

I say just call them and ask, I'm sure they would be more than happy to answer your questions.

I *think* it's 21... And they only ask for a valid license.

I'm here right now and it is a blast. I just drove a E60 550i and now I'm taking out the X5. Just thought I would let everyone know it's great, come on by.

If you can, please let me know what other cars are there too, I'm sure any car they give me to drive will be great!

The whole lineup essentially. 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, and X series. There is one M3 and one Alpina B7 but you would have had to register before today in order to drive those two. Everything else is available.

Sweet! Glad you had a good time. I leave in about an hour. Can't wait!

So I just returned home. Wow, that was a blast, thanks for the heads-up TRR330xi! I spent the entire morning and part of the afternoon there enjoying the whole lineup. And it was all for a good cause as well. Now it's back to the books to make up for lost time, but worth it nonetheless. My favorite vehicle was the 550i by far, but every single vehicle in the lineup was great! It's too bad I didn't have a previous reservation for the M3 or the B7. Here's one pic that I took of the M3 and B7 next to my M5.

If anyone has some free time this afternoon, this is going on until 4:30pm, definitely worth a stop by, check out some great new BMWs and enjoy them all for a good cause!

Just got back. I ended up driving the 535i, which was a great car, but not an M3 or B7. The person who drove the M3 kinda drove it conservatively, which in perspective might be a good thing. I would have blown the doors off that thing.
