Went to the races this weekend and ran twice. My stock Z3 3.0i went 16.014 flat on my first race. I had a .838 reaction time. My second race, which I tried to power brake the start, went 16.342 with a reaction time of .566! I hit that light!

I am surprised that I didn't run faster though. I ran 15.636 last year fully dressed and this year I drained the washer fluid tub and dropped my spare which had to be good for at least 50 lbs. Still ran slower :(

I met a couple of guys with pre '99 M3's, Eric who was running in the AutoX in the oval, new this year, and Dennis who was running the drags. I saw Thad there but did not see any of the rest of you guys...

Overall, had a good time, but hated the wait in between races! 1st one at midnight, second run at 0130.:bawl

Anyway, hope to see more of you coming out soon.

Great reaction time on that second run Dane!!!

That's ironic that after all the efforts to reduce weight, your timeslips were slightly higher than before. I would bet that it had something to do with temperature and wheel tire conditions. I ran a stock prelude once with a fogged intake, and ran the same car post intake/exhaust and ran a slower time as well. Go figure....

If only I still had the M3, I'd be down at the tracks to represent with you guys.

Funny, I fogged my airbox over the winter too. Sounds like a negative for both of us...hmmmm...Guess I'll try a Conforti intake next! See you soon Hien.

The wait is what keeps me from going. It feels like I'm waisting my weekend....even though I love to race the car:az:

Maybe I'll just hang out until I get a new clutch put in. A clutch that'll be able to put the power out to the wheels quicker.

I hear you...15 seconds of fun is not worth waiting 5 hours for in my opinion. I have decided to watch as well until I can afford more mods...
