It's a sad day...

It all would have been fine if she hadn't abruptly stopped at a merge. And it still would have been fine since I only hit her at 1-2mph if she hadn't been driving a damn Jeep with a tire on the back. Tire hit my hood. No bumper to bumper contact at all. Bleh...

Wow, it seems to be a trent going around.. Sorry to see that happen dude. I did the same thing last December which resulted in a brand new hood. Make sure you check the radiator support!

Yeah. I'm pretty sure the radiator support is bent. The coolant expansion tank is about an inch or two closer to the MAF than it used to be. I'm gonna take it somewhere tomorrow and figure out what the damage is. It couldn't come at a worse time either. I have to be down in Florida for the next three months and I needed my car to get me there. It still drives fine and nothing seems to be loose, so I may get it checked out and put-off repairs until I am in Florida and can get it done properly. I'm considering a CF hood for a replacement though so at least I have that to look forward to.

Yeah, when I got my new hood, the passenger side of it fits flush, but the drivers side is pushed up about 1/5th an inch, and doesn't sit flush with the rest of the body, even though it's a brand new hood, kind of sucks, and when I unlatch the hood from the inside, I have to pull the hood up a little to get the hood release latch to pop out..

Sorry, I feel your pain. Someone backed into my 540 at the Home Depot today and drove off. My read bumper's right corner is all cracked and looks like crap.

Sounds like maybe it's time for a carbon fiber hood?

I'm headed to Miami in a little less than a week. Hoping to find a good repair place there.

Yeah. I think that's exactly what I'm doing. :)

Just get me a few pounds closer to that 50/50 weight balance...
