Kevin toddman35 05-19-2003, 12:06 AM shoulda bought my eclipse when you had the chance man... :D I'm betting its a loose wire. ridesnoborder14 05-19-2003, 12:09 AM Originally posted by kevin7909 yes or a cold solder joint or a wire thats shorting and when u hit a bump it jumps off whatever its touching....could be a few things.... Kevin I dont know audio at all.... whats this cold solder joint? kevin7909 05-19-2003, 09:50 AM when chips/wires are connected to a circuit board its done so using solder. sometimes its not done properly and as suchu have an intermittent connection...an effective way to find a cold solder joint is to get some freon(or some other such product) and spray on the circuit board at different points till u dont hear sound(or u DO hear sound)...tedious if thats the problem and if u have a stock head its probably not worth it....what year car do u have, i MIGHT have a BMW tape deck that will work... Kevin SDbboy 05-19-2003, 09:56 AM Pull the deck out and check the harness to make sure its connected properly and tightly. My guess is a loose or disconnected wire (probably the blue remote turn on wire) that is making temporary contact where it should make permanent contact when you hit bumps. Brian kevin7909 05-19-2003, 11:31 AM dallas that definitely could be it and its pretty easy to check.... Kevin |
