Okay, I have a front sway bar, made out of titanium. I installed it like a month or so ago, and no, there is nothing wrong with the install, and I love it, and it does truly improve my handling.
I went to go clean out the engine bay because it is (was) nice today. I realized it was really hot under the hood (I had driven over to the college and back, like a quarter mile away). I quickly realized that my front sway bar, made out of titanium, was generating a massive amount of heat. Apparently it just is absorbing heat, and heating up under my hood.
I was wondering if this is normal, or maybe if it is a good idea to get a carbon fiber sway bar? Would carbon fiber not get hot like metal does, and is it as strong as titanium?
