I was out looking at the local BMW dealer and they had 2 M5's, 2000 and 2001 I think, but they are so sweet, I was looking on autotrader for older M5's and found this one:

http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/vdetail.jtmpl?car_id=130775985&dealer_id=891086&car_year=1994&make=BMW&distance=75&max_price=&model=M5&advcd_on=n&end_year=2001&min_price=&certified=n&address=19342&search_type=used&advanced=n&start_year=1991&color=&cardist=75

Can anyone give me some specs on this car, hp, tq, is this a good deal. How modable are the older M5's?

I am an M3 guy, but Im not that educated on the M5 series. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks
Rob

It says it euro so that means it is 3.8 liter that puts out 340hp and 295ft/tq. Well if its selling for that cheap then i'm guessing that it has maybe 110,000 to 130,000 on the odometer. It sounds like a good deal i guess it just depends if its going to be your daily driver or not. My 1991 m5 is and i love it. They are very well build cars. Mine has 187xxx on it right now and is very good condtion. The only problem with the high mileage m5's i learned was i had to rebuild mine at 124xxx which cost me a lot of money and i mean a lot. The older m5's are not going to be as modable as your m3 but you can mod them to make them go very fast. If you put a dinan chip in it, it takes out the limiter and the car does speeds upwards of 175 mph. You could make these cars absolute monsters they are great cars! I reccomend you buy one if you like your m3 they are great!!
