I am in the market to do some suspension changes and my budget is under $1k. I have done some research on the forum and have found that you should not replace the springs without changing the struts/shocks. I am not going to track the car but a few times but I woudl like a more aggressive lowered look as well as a stiffer/sportier ride. Does anyone have any thoughts on going with the Koni Yellow shocks/struts and the Tein S-Tech lowering springs? Are there any compatibility issues? Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

I definitely recommend the Koni S/A and Eibach springs. The Teins are too aggressive of a drop and are going to wear out your shocks too quickly. Shox.com is a cheap place to pick up the shocks from but I also know Obioban over on m3forum.net is a great guy to buy the shocks from. I also think he has something to where you can adjust the rears from the top instead of pulling them off the car to adjust them.

I have that very similar setup. I have Dinan valved Koni shocks/struts with tein springs. The lowering stance is perfect and the ride is great. I have zero regrets.
