There are monthy meets at Colt State Park, which is in Bristol, so it looks like you lucked out. We have one around May 18th, and there will probably be one mid June, you should come, that way you can meet a lot of us at once. Welcome to NE OT!

Thanks guys after reading the NE boards it seems like there are a steady crew that stay active which is great. I was born and raised in Bristol and know CSP very well. Played baseball and soccer from T-ball to Senior League Championships there. I also noticed a euro meet in Warwick and I will be working out there so I def. will see you guys around. And move in is June 1st so after that you'll be seein a blacked out M3 around Bristol.

Welcome to NE man. I think I recall you from Floridagerman? I was down in Palm Harbor for a couple months in the Summer of 2007. I had my E36 down there at the time. Just sat and sat and sat....

Hope you are a Sox fan though.... We don't like cowbells up here (well except fuz).

Big autocross series, undercarriage tech sessions, car control clinics (ADSS's), driving schools (New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Le Circuit Mont Tremblant by Montreal, Watkins Glen in NY), well-attended concours d'elegance at a great ice cream stand (with mini-golf and bumper boats). Quarterly meetings with interesting speakers (Q1 was James Clay of Bimmerworld racing fame, Q2 was about the E92 M3, plus the new 135i and X6 on display)). There are also show-and-shine events, as well as social events like wine tastings and the annual holiday party/slient auction. Someone scored an awesome set of rims and tires for next to nothing last year.

If any of the CSP organizers want to incorporate their event into the BMW Car Club of America, it could be arranged. We always looking for people to run new events. We also have a RI area organizer.

Yes that's me. It was a great deal.

I went to high school at East Lake and live in Crystal Beach, weather is great but home is RI.

Ya I had my E36 M3 back then (Hellrot) and I hate cowbells, although the Rays I've always said are a decent team but here is a glimps of where my loyalties lie. :evil2

Now this is an idea, a damn good idea.

To the OP, welcome to the area (soon)! I'm in Rumford, RI - which isn't too far. Hope to see ya around.

Want to organize one? (I'm serious.) In the past, the Boston Chapter has put on a variety of fun rallys. In fact, we have some routes already made up. What is needed is for some motivated person to take charge an put on the event. This presumably involves driving the route to check and correct the directions, as well as handle registration and so forth. There are others to help, too, I think. The lastest issue of our chapter newsletter, Boston Bimmer, had a notice looking for someone to organize one.

If you're interested, I'd contact John Sullivan, the Activities Chairperson, using the officer contact info on the website http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/people/index.aspx John is very keen to get a fun rally going, and I'm sure he love to get a poker run going too.

If you want more events that Boston puts on, there are other chapter too that are close to you (White Mountain in NH, CT chapter).

I started a Rally in '06 called the BlackTieRally and it was hard getting it off the ground so when I come up I def will make contacts because they are a blast and we make mini rallys after some sat night meets most the time anyways...that's the part that will be hardest to adjust is 4 lane highways with 70mph to one and two lane roads and 45mph.... But FLA is known for the rally scenes as many are put on for local chapters and nationwide ones start or end here a lot...heres a link to one the guys in Orlando put together....

That was you that set that up? I remember a bunch of guys on SpeedBrigade talking about that last year. Sounded like a great time.

Welcome back to the NE! The NEOT guys are cool to hang out with here and at the meets. :) Very helpful also on wrenching our bimmers. Great to have an E30 M3 in the group. Most of them M3 just hide out in people's garages and only come out at the BMWCCA show and meetings.

I would love to participate in a BMW rally or cruise. There are other clubs/forum doing it but we should start one of our own. We can also raise some $$ for charity and the local BMWCCA Boston chapter.

Thanx guys and yes that rally took forever to set up and I would do things much diff next time around, and as far as my M3 it's a DD and I wouldn't have it any other way. A piece of BMW history yes but you can't pry my hands of the wheel, and there are dings here and there and my bay isn't detailed but that what makes me sleep OK at night and not worrying about it ;)
