There used to be a lot more going on up there but I think it's slowed down in the past couple years. No real "racing" anyways unless you go over towards Hartford.

The street racing on the pike used to be all muscle cars and guys that were hardcore racers. These days the road is very heavily patrolled, and the racing is idiot kids in Hondas. I have nothing against Hondas, far from it, but I've seen too many stories over the years on the news of carloads of kids racing and causing accidents.

Seriously, who thinks that 600 extra lbs of retard in the car is going to make things better?

The Berlin Turnpike is all just kids these days, and too many cops.

yeah back in the day (i'm talking waaaaay back like 7 years ago at least:shifty) the pike used to be ridiculous, half the cars there were like 12s or less machines and 100s of ppl would flood every parking lot and everyone would burn out to their hearts content w/little or no police intervention...then ppl started dying all the time and they cracked down bigtime. undercovers, helicopters, it was like a police takeover. its slowly been coming back over the years, but its not even close to how it used to be.

i still go every so often b/c i'm so close...theres good weekends and bad.

thanks for noticing that i was trying to get the ball rolling on another berlin turnpike Lowes parking lot meet. no one cares about street racing on the pike thats not what we do there. its just a good central location for us up in the northwest corner of the state to meet up. i hate when people highjack threads to talk about bullsh*t. any ways if any one that has gone to a berlin turnpike meet wants to have more this year....lets go. its about that time again.

we dont really do much at the pike other than chill in the parking lot and talk. we dont want any attention so we can do this again. the fire pit sounds good for later in the night.

yeah they had his car for 5 days trying to find out why it has the running problem. they finally figured out that the control unit was bad.

i got pulled over on the pike yesterday for my muffler ....ughh is the meet still on for this weekend

rain Saturday and my son has a baseball game scheduled at 9 AM.

If the weather holds and is decent, I'll come down to the 'Pike as close to noon as I can.
