This happened a while ago, but I thought I would share.

When I was in Moscow, Idaho a couple years back, a small town on the pan handle, I saw the only e46 M3 CSL I've seen. What are the chances? middle of nowhere....

Doubt it was a real CSL, probably just some parts on a regular M3. What lead you to think it was real?

had the single air duct hole on the dirvers side front bumper, wheels of course, different trunk lip/spoiler and front bumper c/f valence lip, csl badge of course, seemed lower(dont know if thats the case or not)....

All common modifications to a stock M3. Not saying it couldn't have been real, but just doubtful to see one stateside, especially there.

Officially by BMW, as far as I know: zero. Any one that is here would have been privately imported by an owner, and would then need to be emissions certified for street use. To date I know of no true CSLs in the states. I could be wrong, but I do not think there are any that are here.

You can import them w/o having to do emissions, it's a show car exemption...what the Porsche 959 and others fall into...you can only put like 1500-2000miles a year on it,etc...lot of regulations on them

Fronton, you sure are from the Midwest. CSL in Idaho? Get real, everyone out there drives a tractor to harvest all the potatos for our country. Are you sure it wasn't something less spectacular?

hahahah, I go to school here, University of Idaho, good engineering school. And your right about the potatoes. However, you would be surprised with some of the cars you see over here. I think some of the exotics that come through are just passing by on a road trip. But as far as the city is concerned, there are some pretty nice cars here; lots of modded STI's.
